And since you asked, aventurine glass originated in Milan in the 1700’s when a glass maker accidentally knocked a jar of brass shavings into cooling glass giving it a beautiful depth and sparkle. Its name comes from the Italian A Ventura which translates to “by chance”, because it was invented by chance. It’s often used to create a starry night look in glass art, hence the name of my watch Ad Astra, which of course comes from the Latin Per Aspera Ad Astra, through hardships to the stars, which has a lot of meaning to me an my journey the last few years. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
