Christopher Whitbey, of Troy, MO, who was previously found guilty of 14 counts of statutory sodomy after a three day jury trial, was sentenced to 200 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Late Thursday evening, after a 3 day jury trial, Christopher Whitbey, of Troy, was found guilty of 14 counts of statutory sodomy. The case was skillfully tried before a Lincoln County jury by Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Mark Fisher and Tasia Meglio. Whitbey faces life.

Albert Cassella, of Lincoln County, has been found guilty of 1st Degree Murder in the strangulation death of his wife after a five day jury trial. The verdict carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
