I never realized my caffeine habit wasn't just about caffeine.
When my parents divorced, I was 14. That year I shut down in a lot of ways. Looking back, coffee became more than a drink. It became something familiar when life didn't feel familiar.
Looking back, I don't think coffee was ever just coffee for me.
It showed up during a hard season of life and became part of my daily routine for the next 20 years.
Did anyone else realize their caffeine habit began during a stressful chapter?
