@nicolefshirman I understand your thinking. A strong GM helps ownership see the Forrest from the trees. If it was ownership pressure that forced his hand, he acted like a no backbone GM & folded like a cheap lawn chair. Stay true to your convictions &educate ownership. Believe in your own vision
@LifeIsles4 Not calling for his head just better decision making & accountability. Every move positions us better or worse. Each move matters. His in season moves last year were a flop. Thats just calling it like it is. We all want him to succeed. Confidence is wobbly with him at the moment
@IslesUpNorth@Rams18and2@stefen_rosner You are making Darche look worse. And even if what you say is true, you are not someone in the know. I understand your claim, just dont agree.
@Rams18and2@stefen_rosner Try a better approach. Happy to have a conversation. Looking at your one side only makes you look stupid. My post is not uninformed. Tsyp going the other way? Still costs us 2 extra million per. Drouin was a mistake made by Darche. Id rather neither. He made his own bed.
@DavidSchoeps@philzfactz Pipeline could be even richer & we could've made better use of cap space. @philzfactz is π― correct. Everyone is hoping Darche does well, but the fact remains, he's been mostly a bad decision maker to current day. Hoping this changes for the best & we can celebrate Darche soon
@IslesUpNorth@Rams18and2@stefen_rosner Ummmmm.....as the GM, it is his responsibility to stamp the form approved or not. Thats what comes with these high management positions. Look at the Knicks, the GM is a genius all of a sudden. When your moves work out, you're a god, and when your moves don't, just own it.
@FXOC7@ChrisBottaNHL I dont have an issue with the off season. I have an issue with the in season trades and the lack of acknowledgement from him that they didnt work out and that we have less cap space and draft picks today because of them. For what, a sniff of the playoffs?
@JayEdlin@stefen_rosner In addition, the media's unwillingness to shine a mirror on these things is disturbing. We will never move forward without acknowledging the impact of our decisions. I want to believe in Darche, but give me some good decisions and some honesty so I can believe.
@JayEdlin@stefen_rosner For me, honesty & credibility go a long way. It also shows that he's a stand-up guy. Doesn't mean hes saying his players are bad, hes just owning up to the truth that they didnt work out & we are now restricted with less cap & less picks. I want a GM that I can trust good & bad!
@Rams18and2@stefen_rosner Well Drouin was his mistake to start. Calling people stupid is stupid. Trading for Palat didnt work out, so that is a mistake as well. We can agree to disagree, but schenn was a mistake as well. Lets continue the stupid conversation big guy.
@mndamico@stefen_rosner The playoffs are that important to them? They sure don't act like it. Shouldn't the goal be to win the cup. Realistically, where were the isles going even if they made the playoffs last season? Lets be real here.
@stefen_rosner I just dont understand if the plan is to get younger, why not unload some guys over 28 yrs old that would bring value? Why be mid? Why not strive for a super team in a few yrs? Why add old players too? Lets be bad for the next few seasons to be a legit cup contender soon after
@LurchMob1@stefen_rosner Exactly...I don't want to keep taking shots at Darche. Why are we trying to remain mid while retooling? Lets just get as much cap space & prospects/picks possible. Then we can be legit. This approach isn't working. Its like 1 foot in 1 direction & the other in another direction
