Been a while and I've gained a lot of new followers in the past few months so-
Hello! I'm a 3D artist who pokes around with all things 3D, but mainly creates Avatars and Worlds for VRChat!
And here is today's progress!
The rig and upload here is purely for testing out the proportions and noting down any adjustments I should make.
Up next will be making those adjustments, possibly another test, then getting started on the low-poly model!
Fun extra fallout of drama from last year.
Wanting to buy an amazing avatar, but the artist has me blocked, so I can't get it legitimately.π
Accept my money plzzzzzz
@Nicoreda Same experience here.
Built a very unique base of my own and (Though it's only been nearly two weeks so far) has been my worst performing avatar compared to anything else I released in the past few years.
My own take here, it would be nice for VRC to build off their built-in scaling system with extra permissions to make up for this.
Allow instance hosts to change the height limit for the instance themselves. With the world's/avatar's limit becoming the default setting.
It's not all of my stuff and probably won't host everything aside from my original avatars. But for those who'd rather use it over the other storefronts I already have set up, here it is!
@FZone96 That world uses VRChat's Built-in system (I'm pretty sure).
The system's actual limits is up to 100m. The user is just limited to 5m themselves, but any prefab using Udon can set your height much higher.
So here's what this affects. What it doesn't. And why you should/shouldn't care.
This is specifically for any Avatar-based scaling systems. Those that change your entire avatar size past VRChat's own scale limits.
The VRC beta broke avatar scaler addons and unfortunately they've stated they will not be fixing it, hopefully a workaround is found eventually.
Sucks for anyone who makes size content.
I don't know how much effort that needs to be built, but with the underlying system itself already existing, I doubt it's as much work as it would've been breaking these systems 5 years ago.
It can lead to extra group instance permissions like restricting avatar size for those who want it. While also allowing a group of friends to go to any world, push the limit to max, and have fun.
