So this was our table after we finished eating at Burger King today. Nothing was thrown on the floor or smeared everywhere—just the trays, cups, wrappers, and leftovers from a normal meal. As we were walking out, an older man stopped us and told us we were being "lazy" and "disrespectful" for not throwing everything away ourselves. It honestly caught me off guard. Growing up, I always thought part of eating at a fast-food restaurant was that employees cleaned the dining area. We weren't trying to make anyone's job harder or leave the place trashed—it was just a regular table after lunch. After he said something, I started wondering if I've completely missed an unwritten rule. Has the expectation changed? When you eat at places like Burger King or McDonald's, do you always clear your own tray before leaving, or do you think it's still okay to leave it for the staff? I'm genuinely curious to hear what other people do. No arguing—I just want to know what's considered normal these days

Clarence Sasser was a college kid from Texas, studying chemistry at the University of Houston, when the draft pulled him into the Army in 1967. They trained him as a combat medic and sent him to the Mekong Delta, the maze of rice paddies and canals in the far south of Vietnam. He was 20 years old, and what he lived through on January 10, 1968, is almost impossible to believe a person could survive, let alone keep working through.

His company, about 115 men, air assaulted by helicopter into an open rice paddy and landed in a trap. Viet Cong opened up on them from three sides at once, and within the first few minutes 30 Americans were down. The men were pinned in the open, in the water and the mud, with no cover and wounded everywhere crying for a medic. So Doc Sasser got up and ran into it.

He was hit in the leg almost immediately, and he kept going, splashing across the paddy from one wounded man to the next, dragging them to what little cover there was and patching them up under a storm of fire. A mortar round burst near him and drove hot shrapnel into his back. He refused to stop for his own wounds and kept moving to the next man. Then he was hit again, in both legs, and now he could not stand or walk at all.

He still did not quit. For the next five hours, through the rest of that day and into the night, Clarence Sasser dragged his own shattered body through the mud and water of that rice paddy by his arms, pulling himself from one wounded soldier to another, treating them, calming them, keeping them alive. He could not walk, he was bleeding from multiple wounds, and he spent five hours crawling through a killing field so that other men would see the morning. When help finally came, he had kept alive men who would certainly have died without him, and he had never once treated his own wounds first.

President Nixon gave Clarence Sasser the Medal of Honor in 1969, one of the first Black soldiers of the war to receive it. He came home, went back to school, worked in chemistry and later for the Veterans Administration, and lived a quiet Texas life for more than fifty years. He died in 2024 at the age of 76. A drafted college student who, with both legs torn up, crawled through a paddy for five hours because he was the Doc, and the Doc does not leave the wounded behind.

This painfully predictable loop is not some accidental outcome of the Republican platform, it’s the natural result of their monomaniacal drive to slash taxes for the rich and corporations. The truth is that they’re not pro-business, they’re pro-oligarchy. They don’t care if they inflict financial suffering on the working class, so long as the rich can siphon more wealth into their already-bloated bank accounts.

“Now they're deregulating everything. We've got people dropping dead of measles,” Welch continued. “We're buying contaminated beef from Argentina.”

“We've got blueberries that are killing people. We have killer blueberries in the United States of America!” said Welch. “They're deregulating all of our environmental protections and they're killing off horses, wild horses, and they are tearing up our national parks.”

“These people are destroyers of life,” she went on. “They are not a pro-life party. That is a lie. MAGA is a pro-pedophilia, anti-family death cult. Find me evidence that they are not that. And on top of all of this, we've done a bunch of episodes so far this week, they're all still in the Epstein files!”

“All of them, everybody in the Trump regime, they're all linked in there,” she said. “They're all right in the middle of a pedophile ring. Democrats, stop and start attacking MAGA nonstop all day every day because these people suck.”

At this point, there can be no real arguing that the MAGA movement is anything other than pro-pedophilia. The President himself is deeply implicated in the Epstein files, including allegations of heinous child abuse. Meanwhile, it seems that hardly a day goes by without a prominent Republican getting charged with child abuse-related charges.

“These people are losers,” Welch added. “All they have is beating up on marginalized people to try to distract from the fact that these oligarchs are sucking Americans dry for every penny they have.”

BREAKING: HUMILIATION! China laughs in Trump's face after he begged them to join his doomed "maximum economic pressure" campaign against Iran now that his illegal war has failed.

Translation: There is no way in hell China is going to betray Iran, a close trading partner and supplier of much of their oil. 26% of Iranian imports in 2024 were from China and China purchased 1.38 million barrels of Iranian oil per day in 2025. These two nations are closely aligned and there is absolutely no incentive for Xi Jinping to change that dynamic on behalf of a demented, erratic, pedophile regime that's about to get hammered in the midterm elections.

Lin's remarks come after MAGA Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent — a slimy, pathologically dishonest plutocrat — publicly insisted that the White House's plan to cut Iran off from the global economy is "going to work" and will "collapse" their country. He demanded that China "get with the program" and said that "many conversations are best to have in private."

Keep in mind these are the same people who have repeatedly claimed that Iran is totally defeated, that a lasting peace deal is just a few days away, and that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz. They lie as easily as they breathe.

“China is closely following relevant developments and will take all necessary measures to firmly safeguard its own rights and interests,” said Lin, adding that China's relationship with Iran “should not be disrupted or undermined."

It's worth recalling that Trump ran on being "tough on China" and has frequently railed against them as our adversary. Now, reduced to total defeat, he's come crawling to them with his beggar's bowl in hand. And they gave him exactly what he deserved.

BREAKING: PETULANT! Trump's Kennedy Center board threatens to literally DEMOLISH the building if they can't slap his name on it.

If Donald Trump can't put his name on the Kennedy Center, apparently nobody will have a Kennedy Center at all.

In a stunning court filing Monday, prosecutors for the Trump-aligned board argued that a $250 million renovation project — which just so happens to include Trump's name on the facade — is now necessary for the building's very survival. Their filing warned that without it, "the center will deteriorate further into an unsafe, decrepit structure that will be required to be taken down," floating a replacement amphitheater as an alternative.

Let's be clear about what's actually happening here: this isn't a genuine structural crisis. It's a manufactured hostage situation. Trump's board has spent months trying to force his name onto a building Congress explicitly created to honor a murdered president, gotten blocked by federal courts twice, and is now essentially threatening to bulldoze the whole institution rather than accept "no" for an answer.

And the financial reality tells its own story. The Kennedy Center is now projected to fall $100 million short of its profit goals, missing its budget target by 70% and contributed revenue by 25%, a staggering $23 million deficit. This decline traces directly back to Trump's takeover and the name-change controversy — meaning the very chaos Trump's board created is now being used as justification for even MORE drastic action, in a self-inflicted crisis dressed up as an emergency.

This saga has been ongoing for months. Multiple artists canceled performances in protest after Trump's board first tried to close the center back in May. Representative Joyce Beatty successfully sued to block it. Judge Christopher Cooper ruled the board's decision "ill-informed and seemingly preordained," forcing Trump's name off the building's facade — though workers responded with pure pettiness, simply draping a massive tarp over the empty space rather than restoring it properly.

Now the board has voted AGAIN, this time proposing to shut the Kennedy Center down entirely for two years to remake it in Trump's image. Beatty is once again heading to federal court to stop it.

This is what happens when ego overrides institutional stewardship: a national cultural landmark, built to honor a fallen president, held hostage by a board more interested in vanity than preservation — willing to threaten demolition rather than simply let go.
