🚨Sony is actually in talks with Marvel to sell the Spider-Man film rights back to Disney/Marvel.

A report suggests that instead of waiting 10 to 20 years to slowly accumulate profits from individual movie releases, Sony could secure the entire projected value of the franchise upfront.

The reason behind Selling the rights back could be:-

- Sony gets a historic $10B+ payout instead of waiting decades.

- Sony already squeezed everything they could out of spin-offs like Venom but they never succeeded.

- Sony lacks the MCU characters needed to build major crossover events.

- Making standalone Marvel movies without Disney's creative backing is a huge gamble.
