@RichhForeverrr@ats_fight But even at that, if dominating Haney is a step in the right direction, Kur would need a little more (beat Tank/Ryan or unify titles) because my eyes have also seen Inoue dominate his competition for 12 years.
@AdamsBoxingShow@FanagerNot Maybe the pyramid shouldn't all say "Super?"
1. MegaFight (more of an event Tyson-Holy, May-Pac)
2. SuperFight (two known champs, GGG vs Canelo, May-Cotto)
3. Huge Fight (Some casuals watch, Bud-Spence, Tank-Garcia)
4. Big Fight (hardcore fans unite to watch, Kov-Ward)
@AdamsBoxingShow I get it, skill wise it's intriguing because it's two top p4p guys and not 2 past their prime HWs. But a huge chance that the lead up is more exciting than the actual fight. At best, Kur dominates and at worst both Haney and Kur just pose and throw few punches for 12 rounds.
@RichhForeverrr@ats_fight That's the main thing, he has to prove it in the ring. Back in 2017, Andre Ward was p4p #1 but our eyes knew that Bud and Loma had better boxing skills.
@AdamsBoxingShow 2. Inoue has dominated those lower divisions for 10+ years.
3. If your complaint is not knowing or ranking his opponents highly, remember Roy Jones also dominated weak divisions and was #1 p4p for years!
@AdamsBoxingShow A few things, first for Haney, he would need to shutout Shakur to even consider being #2. How can anyone forget his poor showing (boxing wise) against Ryan.
And for those discounting Inoue, 1. even avid watchers of boxing don't pay much attention to the little guy under 122lbs.
@eg81198@julesboxing I told you he's good enough to be top 100 all time and you got in your feelings about it. And still YDKSAB!!! So are why you still crying about it?
@eg81198@julesboxing And he's not even the best fighter from the UK either. Plus I named you 17 fighters (of only the past 30 years) that you couldn't even make an argument that Joe C had a better career than and I didn't even include all the greats like Ali, Both Sugar Rays, Duran and the like.
@marvgoathero so I asked who between 135-154 can say they have had a better career then Bud and his examples are two guys from Bud's era in Inoue and Usyk who are no where near 135-154lbs. And Teofimo Lopez? His career so far is on par with Tim Bradleys' more than anything.
@nightylicker@MartinJohnson10@curtiswoodhous8 Boxing works by actually watching it. Fighters have prime years and they vary. Like Lewis actually being a better fighter in his 30s than his 20s. So if you believe that Holyfield was in his prime in 1999 than that tells me you know very little about his career.
@eg81198@NaughtyNougt@arielhelwani So why are you coming across as insulted for not having Calzaghe ranked as high? Also, just like Hopkins, the majority of Joe's WBO title defenses are against weaker opposition. So Cotto getting in the ring with Pac, Floyd, Canelo, Sergio is more impressive.
@eg81198@NaughtyNougt@arielhelwani I specifically asked which of the fighters listed YOU felt Calzaghe had the better career over. Which Cotto is a legit ask considering he's a 4 weight champ. And Hopkins had 20 MW title defenses (unified) and beat Tarver for LHW Ring Champ. Those are facts as well.
@MartinJohnson10@curtiswoodhous8 "Peak" Lewis no doubt beat Holyfield but also, those that gloat about this fight like it was against "peak" Holyfield shows lack of boxing insight. Evander was past his peak after losing to Moorer in 1994. So no such thing as 100% is the only take to have!
@guzzicraig@curtiswoodhous8 He can also be overrated by a lot of people too. Considering his prime was between 97-03 and did not aligned with Holyfield's (88-94) or Tyson's (86-90) prime. Lewis' biggest fans tend to overlook this like the 100 out of 100 comment about Usyk.
