@mcuban Just do a playoff. Instead of a lottery, just do a playoff. Winning team gets 1st pick, runner up gets 2nd. Have a losers bracket so teams continue to play for their draft pick order. Maybe it gets butts in seats, tv ratings, etc. would definitely be more interesting!
@raybrewer21 But when Reno coaches are watching film on Gorman players, they’ll wanna offer a stud that got kills by Gorman and because that stud can’t go anywhere without the help of Gorman, he wouldn’t mind playing in the snow
@nevadapreps@raybrewer21 when this kid commits I’m sure he’ll say “I wanna thank my family, coaches, teammates, and most importantly Bishop Gorman High School because without them I would have never been a D1 athlete”
@raybrewer21 “If we kick your ass, we’ll help you get in to college.” I went to centennial and a shadow ridge coach helped me get in touch with SUU. Coaches wanna win state. Players wanna win state. If it’s impossible, it becomes about the individual and not the team.
@raybrewer21 The argument is mainly around creating a fair and even playing field. The public schools greatest restriction is Gormans greatest advantage.
@raybrewer21 It’s not just about college exposure. Only 7% of HS players go on to play at the collegiate level. There is no buzz of excitement in Las Vegas HS football when everyone knows they’ll lose to Gorman by 80 in the state final.
