French President Emmanuel Macron met this week with a group of seven newspapers for a joint interview.
He was asked about the Spanish blackout (and the role of the cross-border electricity connections between the Iberian peninsula and France).
He didn't mince his words:
Ed Miliband will be remembered as the man who destroyed Aberdeen. His crusade against oil and gas is killing 400 jobs per fortnite, with nothing to replace them. Labour’s energy policies are reckless and cruel, says Nick Tyrone

Even the BBC is now openly questioning Net Zero. 10 years from now, you won't be able to find a single person who will admit they supported this lunacy.
MakeEnergyCheapAgain.
Aberdeen isn’t “transitioning” — it’s being collapsed by Net Zero policy.
Ban licences. Kill investment. Destroy jobs.
This is a political choice, not an accident.
Ed Milliband is the man who will forever be referred to as the imbecile who bankrupted an entire country in an attempt to reduce World temperatures by 0.000001° if he's allowed to continue with his absolutely insane "green" policies.
“Norway to reopen North Sea oil fields. UK looking like a ‘daft neighbour.”
180 of the UK’s 280 fields to close by 2030 & the offshore sector is losing 1,000 jobs a month. In the last 12 months, Britain spent £20.6bn buying oil & gas from Norway.
Ed Miliband’s net zero idiocy.
Climate sceptics are winning the media war, with Net Zero critical newspaper editorials in the majority for the first time, according to analysis by Carbon Brief. But of course we are, says Ben Pile: facts don't lie. https://t.co/zR3BRqMYTd
A new report has called for Ed Miliband’s net zero ministry to be abolished, warning that Britons are paying too high a price for net zero. It has been reported that net zero will cost the UK over £4 trillion by 2050. It’s time to axe the lunacy of net zero.
From what he’s just said in the White House Donald Trump seems to think we’re selling the Chagos Islands to Mauritius (‘do the Brits need the money?’).
Of course the UK is surrendering sovereignty AND paying Mauritius up to £34 billion over the next 100 years to lease back the islands, in what must be the worst deal any government has made in modern times.
You own something that nobody can take from you (whatever international lawyers say).
You give it away to a country of which it has never been a part.
Then you pay billions to lease it back.
Bonkers
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Sec. Scott Bessent is calling out Europe to their faces, on their own turf in Davos
"Just to be clear, Europe is STILL buying Russian oil!"
"Still. Still! 4 years later."
"They are financing the war against THEMSELVES." 💯
Lutnick at Davos: "Why are you going to do solar and wind? Why would Europe agree to be net zero in 2030 when they don't make a battery? They don't make a battery! So if they go 2030, they are deciding to be subservient to China." (Get a load of the looks on the other panelists' faces)
Is that a crack in the mainstream media? Sky's new documentary blames Net Zero for gutting Britain's industry. But then asks why no one is talking about deindustrialisation. Because you kicked 'deniers' off the airwaves! https://t.co/ljnWbSgv8O
More evidence of the damage Brexit hasn't done to inward investment...
The UK was ranked 3rd for newly announced FDI projects between 2022 and 2025 - behind only the US and India - up from 4th in 2015–19, McKinsey said in a report published on Thursday.

Why are politicians allowed to lie like this again and again? It's getting genuinely alarming how much misinformation this man spews. By massively increasing subsidies, he has proved the doubters right.
