It is very unfortunate that an Indian Ministry has to resort to cheap abuse tactics, threats and harassment, instead of proving me wrong.
The Government, through the National Commission for Homeopathy HAS THREATENED ME WITH CIVIL AND CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS if I do not apologize for calling out Homeopathy as quackery/ fraud and delete my content on Homeopathy.
This is also the SAME Government who taxes me and other citizens like me, to FUND HOMEOPATHY and pay salary of these people in Homeopathy Public Institutes who have written this atrocious letter to me.
Dear @ForHomeopathy@moayush@secymoayush
Please find your conditions and my responses below, in public:
National Council for Homeopathy says: Therefore, for the first and last time, you are hereby called upon to:
i. Remove/Delete all the content uploaded by you on every Social Media Platforms which criticizes the Homeopathy Medicine or any other alternative medicine
My response: No I will not. My content are factual and science based. It follows Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution which outlines one of the Fundamental Duties for every citizen - "to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform." In this regard, my content is based on my Constitutional Rights and against an pseudoscientific and unscientific practice like Homeopathy and is fully backed by evidence and facts. If you can prove all of those evidences wrong, I will remove all of my content on Homeopathy.
Homeopathy has been called many things before and I have only borrowed what has been highlighted in public domain and medical literature. Some of the sources for my online content is given below for your reference:
Homeopathy is pseudoscience: https://t.co/KKF1UZqrmu
Homeopathy is fraud and quackery: https://t.co/ehx1a7CsC9
Homeopathy is unscientific: https://t.co/dcrUlnqkFf
Homeopathy is witchcraft: https://t.co/rYbblwI5pC and https://t.co/8j53wwXIkv
If you can remove these sources, I will remove my content.
ii. Stop making, circulating or disseminating any further derogatory, defamatory remarks in future against Homeopathy and its practitioners
My Response: I cannot guarantee this. As doctors and scientists, it is our right to correct healthcare misinformation. Any further publicizing of unverified claims from the Homeopathy community - whether the Ministry, the practitioners or the industry, will be dealt with strong and aggressive corrective measures from the scientific community including me. For me to stop doing this, Homeopathy practitioners must stop claiming benefits of therapy and stop making misleading content online. Homeopathy community must keep quite and disappear to a corner, and then the scientific community will keep quite and let you be invisible in that corner. Homeopathy graduates on Instagram and Facebook keep creating content that they can cure cancer, treat chronic skin disorders, mental health conditions, diabetes and thyroid diseases and autoimmune conditions. First, ask them to stop that - then come to lecture me.
iii. Issue a public apology and clarification, through the same platforms on which the offending posts were uploaded, acknowledging deep regret for the use of defamatory expressions
My Response: First, The National Commission for Homeopathy and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, India MUST issue a issue a public apology and clarification, through all social media platforms , acknowledging deep regret for wasting public money on a fraudulent Homeopathy study which was RETRACTED for scientific fraud. See here: https://t.co/oDTf9JE58B and here https://t.co/bkgffy9VA9. Once your apology is in place, then I may consider an apology, after you prove me wrong, like I proved the scientific fraud in your retracted Homeopathy paper. It was a national disgrace.
iv. Furnish a written undertaking that you shall refrain from repeating such acts in future.
My Response: I am sorry, I wont be able to do that - because as a clinical doctor and medical scientist and medical teacher in India, as long as Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution is alive, I will repeat my education on unscientific practices for the benefit of the public.
This is my first and last time, calling upon the National Commission for Homeopathy and the Homeopathy community:
i. Refrain from sending me these hollow threats, first prove me wrong on all my points raised in my contents online (example: why is cockroach used to treat asthma - what is the pathogenetic basis and pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of it)
ii. Prove to the public that Homeopathy is not a pseudoscience or quackery by removing the original sources I have used to describe Homeopathy (links above) and all such sources which I will use in the future.
iii. Apologize to the Indian public PUBLICLY for wasting public funds that are used to publish scientific fraud
iv. PROVIDE A RESPONSE TO OUR PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION IN THE SUPREME COURT'S ORDER TO YOU - https://t.co/9Q4XYG7JrM - about why Homeopathy was used on population level scale that led to harm to public, wasting public money.
v: Send me an apology letter for wasting my time which could have been used to diagnose and treat patients at my place of work.
Do not try to gag voices that improve scientific temperament in this country, because you are anyway not doing anything to promote science in India.

Resignation Is Dead.
Stop demanding resignation. Resignation is a voluntary act, and voluntary acts require shame. Shame took voluntary retirement from Indian politics several elections ago. Expecting today's politician to resign is like expecting a politician to not divide the people. She/he won't, least of all Dharmendra Pradhan.
Demand REMOVAL. A minister serves actually at the pleasure of the Prime Minister, and displeasure is strictly the PM's department. Address your demand to the boss. And the boss serves at the pleasure of you, the voter, renewable every 5 years. That is the chain of command. Pull it. So what to do before the term's end?
Between you and the boss stands your own employee: the MP you directly elected. Make that employee work. March to their office, it will be more effective. Because it will be all over the country, not limited to Delhi's version of the Hyde Park. Your agitation will earn the adjective, nationwide. Force them to place your demand on record in the Lok Sabha. A slogan evaporates after the heat of the moment; a demand recorded in Parliament sits in the proceedings forever, waiting to embarrass someone at the right moment. The Member of Parliament cannot claim to have represented you. Formal language is required because democracy is a system, and systems are inherently formal.
Protest, absolutely. But protest with paperwork. Submit a written demand along with your placards. A protest without a document is just decibels, and decibels can be declared illegal by the nearest police station and dismissed by the party. Without paper, "the youth demand" shrinks into "a bunch of youth demanding". Lung power fades. Paper, in this kaagaz-obsessed system, survives.
And remember what the word democracy comes with: representative. In a representative democracy, you must represent, through the representative you elected, not through a self-declared spokesperson of "the people". Self-appointed voices of the nation carry the same official weight as self-appointed godmen. They have followers who will die for them, but to The benefit of the godmen. There will be some selfish tent-present populist poop who will get their moment of relevance riding on your back. You will go home. They will go home. The system won't change, unless you know the real levers. The system only hears you when you speak through the microphone it gave you: your elected representative, your vote.
The minister you cannot remove today, file him away for the queue where you hold absolute power: the polling booth queue. His resignation is his choice. His removal is yours. If you can't wait, demand accountability from the fellow, you elected. He/she is having fun standing, unseen in plain sight. Don't speak into the vacuum.
Speak to someone specific. Place specific demands. Your general dissent will be treated as general dissent. So, kudos for your passion and drive. It has happened before. It will happen again. A resignation, even if the despicable disaster does tender his, wouldn't solve anything, except calm your nerves. Ganja does the same. At the venue itself. The red flags have used the green stuff to enhance their delulu. So, go on. Hope something comes out of it. Hope is not a strategy though. Just a small reminder.
Now, you have two options: dismiss the above as quote unquote justification. WhatsApp uncle rant, boring Sanghi trope, use some expletives, and feel good OR think and support the cause you want to, oppose the government you want to, but give it what it takes. Value your emotions and give it all it takes. It will take a lot, so be ready to give it all. If you are looking for a leader, you aren't ready to be one. So, be led to wherever the leader takes you for a ride. Be happy. More in Part II.
In 2000, Irom Sharmila of Manipur started a hunger strike against AFSPA.
Within days, she was picked up by the Manipur Police under Section 309 of the IPC (attempted suicide) and transferred into judicial custody. Because she was in judicial custody, the state took legal responsibility for keeping her alive. To accomplish this, a feeding tube was placed through her nose, and she was fed through it for a year.
Because the maximum sentence under Section 309 was one year, the govt was legally forced to release her once every 12 months. Upon release, she would immediately pull out the nasal tube and resume her fast, leading to her re-arrest days later on fresh charges to restart the cycle of force-feeding. This continued for 16 years until she got fed up with the arrest-tube-cycle and voluntarily ended the fast in August 2016. And Manipur still has AFSPA.
Sharing this for the govt to understand that you can easily solve a Sonam Wangchuk-like blackmail this way. Just invoke Section 226 of the BNS as soon as someone announces a hunger strike, arrest and insert a nasogastric tube, and feed them until they give up.
Yes, Dharmendra Pradhan is an incompetent man and should be fired for his incompetence, but the state should not allow a single individual to subvert the collective will of the electorate through emotional coercion, undermining the rule of law. Yielding to such tactics establishes a dangerous precedent where public policy is dictated by extreme self-harm rather than democratic consensus and the common good.
Once Wangchuk gives up and goes back to Ladakh, fire Dharmendra Pradhan.
We flagged the corruption during the UPA years & ran an anti corruption campaign which helped the BJP to come to power. But I can safely assert that the corruption in the Modi govt exceeds the UPA corruption by leaps & bounds. Every govt scheme is riddled with corruption

Violence against doctors is violence against healthcare itself.
Disagreement, grief, and frustration can be discussed - assault and intimidation never can.
This incident took place with resident doctors of SRN Hospital of MLN Prayagraj @myogiadityanath

I'm sorry, even though this is enthusiastic, it's not going to work out for benefit, in this way.
Many alternative medicine practices are old as humanity itself. They are millenia of knowledge passed on through cultures and generations across centuries. They will stay as long as humanity survives.
There is culture, tradition, religion and recently, socio-political aspects to alternative medicine and traditional practices. So it will survive into the future.
But what can be done, is to educate future generations that these ancient knowledge systems have their true place in history, not in the present or the future.
True application of the scientific method may find therapeutic novelty from primitive practices...we know this from history of medicine. But we have now gone beyond such crude curiosity by unlocking the world of advanced genomics and AI.
So no one needs to ban anything. Let them stay. But educate people and patients to understand it's true value in progress in medicine and healthcare...that alternative medicine is not the alternative to medical science.
That's how we should push forward...to normalise rejecting pseudoscientific practices and downstage alternative medicine - both legalized and illegal...by teaching critical thinking, rationalism and nurturing logical reasoning from childhood...so that science progresses unabated.
@Swetank_420@SquirrelOFRam@bhatia_nachiket@NMC_IND Imgs of 3/4th of private colleges and Fmge are equivalent in their intellect... And the low pass percentage of Fmge clearly reflects the quality of education you dimwit Fmge people are getting in these cheap Phillipines and chinese Universities
