Spent a week at the #IRTG retreat in Germany. Got to present the results of our latest study in VR and meet some of the other Canadian and German trainees!
ICYMI: @MikulaLaura's virtual @VSSmtg poster on intercepting a pong ball with a path that's consistent or not with what you'd expect based on the tilt of the bouncing surface. https://t.co/c9LET8f1QT People adjust very quickly!
@SaTSlabYorkU Thank you Shital! So far in this particular task we didn’t find that visual cues were improving interception performance. But I’m happy to discuss more if you want
New preprint out! Can you adapt to ball bounce perturbations in a Pong-like game? If so, do you make use of external visual cues to enhance your performance? https://t.co/IOpb7Lk3nA @Henrique5Denise@BMtHart 1/5
Our results show quick adaptation to the pong ball dynamics, independently of the visual tilt of the bouncing wall. This outlines prospects for further research on sensorimotor adaptation to external perturbations in more dynamic environments. 4/5
Let's end 2020 on a good note! Our new paper is out in #PLOSONE: Eye-head coordination and dynamic visual scanning as indicators of visuo-cognitive demands in driving simulator https://t.co/6FQOOaWjkd
