Islamic Minister Dr. @AhmedZahirAli owes MVR 318,060 to gov for the additional pay leave payments made to him when he extended his PhD from 3 yrs to 6 yrs. All 20 letters, docs from uni & an investigation report is posted under this tweet.

- He faked his intention of study programme by mentioning “Public Administration in his initial application” to become eligible for the no pay leave scheme under National Training Requirement

- he changed it to “Political Science” later which forced him to take additional subjects in which he failed (a few modules) and PhD got extended to 6 years, and Ministry paid him salary for full 6 years

- he changed to Political Science cause he was planning to run for Majlis, which he did in 2014 while being a Civil Service Staff

- ministry offered him a contract job when they couldn’t fit him to the reserved position they had for him because he didn’t get his PhD certificate, so he stayed in the contract job for over a year

- all these things were facilitated by his close associates at Islamic Ministry who pushed Education Ministry and @Roxeyna’s sister Aamira to approve these things for him.
