@swtrains_watch @penaltyfare @swtrains @IHate_SW_Trains The problem was it was a 3 minute journey and the next train wasn’t for another 30 minutes. And I was due in court for Jury Duty, in 15 min. A little leniency from a dying trade would have been nice, I’ll just drive next time.

You’ve gotta love @south_railway I took a journey to Guildford, that would have cost me £3, I was unable to buy a ticket before the train so I went straight to the ticket officer at Guildford to explain the situation, he fined me £20 on the spot, clearly doesn’t pay to be honest.

@penaltyfare @swtrains_watch @swtrains @IHate_SW_Trains Hi @penaltyfare as I mentioned in my first tweet and my appeal letter, I’m not sure, I needed 2 rush for the train and intended to pay either on the train or when I got to Guildford, hence my honesty. I was due for Jury Duty and could not miss this train. I explained this at time

On my way to do Jury Duty I was unable to purchase a ticket before the train arrived. I went up to the ticket man at Guildford and he fined me after I was honest at the situation. I then appealed and the fine went up to £90!

I contested my £20 fine, got an email from a random email not @SouthTrains so I didn’t notice it and they upped it to £90. There is 2 tel no.s on the letter neither work, not even to pay. Such a con!!! #haterail #ukrail #nevertrain @IHate_SW_Trains @swtrains_watch

@swtrains_watch @swtrains @IHate_SW_Trains Yes I did appeal, but I received a reply from an email address that had no relation to south west trains and missed it because of this and they upped it from £20 to £90. When I tried to call to clear it up I could not get through to a human at all…
