@AnthonyMangnal1 No help for the hospitality sector or other small businesses who will be crippled from 1st April with extortionate energy costs. Have you seen how many pubs are closing in South Devon and elsewhere.
@morningad Endured some horrible easterly winds which made it very cold but lost a marquee as a result. Put a smaller one up, took it down as soon as we saw the forecast for bank holiday Monday. Closed Monday due to weather. Can't put anything more permanent up as in a conservation area.
We know that such a simple thing like catching up with friends and family over coffee and cake is so important so every Wednesday between 10-12 we have the coffee on, latte machine ready and lots of cake ready to be eaten.
Lawn has been mown, under tables strimmed. Getting ready to reopen outside. Marquee will be put up on the patio this week. Let's hope the weather stays warm and dry.
@UKHospKate Our council have said they have simplified the applications depending upon which grant you have already received, still have to provide net profit figures for December & January 18,19 and 20. Have applied for pub but not received yet.About to apply for bnb which we run separately
@UKHospKate@MailOnline With the rising rates recently and pubs closed the spread obviously isn't the fault of the hospitality industry. When we are allowed to open let the local council monitor hospitality compliance and shut down those that aren't if they are concerned about numbers rising again.
@morningad Our pub is opposite a small shop which sells alcohol. So they can sell alcohol from their premises as an off licence but we can only deliver.
