EMERGENCY OF THE WEEK: A #smallholder reported her cow with udder pain and swelling. Our #Paravet diagnosed #Mastitis. Mastitis Tube (along with Dexamethasone, Penstrip and Multivitamins) was applied to the nipple and massaged to remove pus and debris. Full recovery in 3 days!

This week's Service of the Week is #Deworming. We recommend our #smallholder farmers carry out drenching of their cattle, sheep, and goats every 3 months in order to control roundworms, lungworms, and liver flukes. Routine deworming increases the animal's health and productivity.

EMERGENCY OF THE WEEK: One of our #smallholder farmers reported a rare case of a cow with an unusual skin condition, resembling #Papilloma virus. The extensive warts were successfully excised by our #Paravet, the wounds stitched, and antibiotics provided to prevent infection.

This week's Product of the Week, #DicalciumPhosphate, is a Calcium and Phosphate mineral supplement used to improve yields in dairy cattle. It is also useful for poultry and small ruminants. It is one of the most popular products with our #smallholder farmers!

Vitalis Shayo is a trained and very experienced #Paravet. He is in charge of technical sales, leading a team of #Paravets to provide free #animalhealth advice calls, product sales and service bookings by phone to #smallholder farmers on the Milele database.
