The ceasefire and hostage release deal announced between Israel and Hamas is good news – for the families of the hostages taken on October 7th, for the Palestinian civilians who have suffered for more than a year, and for everyone who has prayed for an end to this awful chapter.

It’s important to recognize that no deal – including this one – can ease the pain of those who have lost loved ones, or resolve the longstanding conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. That work will be much harder, and take much longer. But it will put a stop to the bloodshed, allow people to return to their homes, and get much-needed aid to more than a million desperate, hungry people.

That’s something we should all support, and I’m grateful to President Biden, Secretary Blinken, and all the leaders and diplomatic teams from around the world who have worked so hard to get this done.

Ad Abu Dhabi l’Italia ha mostrato cultura, arte e ingegno con le opere di Jago, di Ugo Pagliai, e l’esposizione Italia Geniale; ha proposto tanta musica, con Serena Autieri, Mark Zitti, il Belcanto, gli artisti dell’Arena di Verona e lo straordinario intervento del Maestro Andrea Bocelli.

Ha portato l’immancabile buon cibo italiano, con le masterclass di pizza e olio, lo show cooking e il ristorante a cura di Eataly.

Ha sentito, visto e raccontato ancora una volta l’Italia, ma soprattutto ha ricevuto un nuovo punto di vista per continuare il suo viaggio.

Si chiude il settimo Villaggio Italia ed è meraviglioso vedere, ancora una volta, quante persone accettano con curiosità e ammirazione di lasciarsi coinvolgere dalla bellezza del nostro Paese.

In Abu Dhabi, Italy showcased its culture, art, and ingenuity through the works of Jago, Ugo Pagliai, and the Italia Geniale exhibition. It brought an abundance of music, featuring Serena Autieri, Mark Zitti, Belcanto, the artists from the Arena di Verona, and a remarkable performance by Maestro Andrea Bocelli.

Italy also delivered its signature exquisite cuisine, with pizza and olive oil masterclasses, live cooking shows, and a restaurant curated by Eataly.

Once again, Italy felt, saw, and told its story, but most importantly, it gained a fresh perspective to continue its journey.

As the seventh Villaggio Italia comes to a close, it’s wonderful to see, once again, how many people embrace the beauty of our country with curiosity and admiration.
