When we say medicine is political this is just one of the many ways we mean it. For some of us our existence is political and the verbal, and at times physical, abuse we endure is unacceptable.

‘School lunch debt’ is a term so absurd that it shouldn’t even exist.
That’s why I’m proud to introduce a bill to CANCEL the nation’s student meal debt and stop humiliating kids and penalizing hunger.

Fun fact: minority scholarships aren’t “minority only” and they haven’t been for a long time, because the hissy-fit the AG is having has been done before.
The neighbor at my shop was waiting out the storm in her car when this tree fell. Another neighbor saw and attempted to call 911 for over 30 minutes. She was alive and responsive. By the time someone got through and the fire department arrived she still had a pulse, but

Admission preferences for legacies, donors, employee families and special recommendations are still allowed
The Court struck down Affirmative Action For everyone except WHITE PEOPLE
The Supreme Court's decision to strike down affirmative action, including in professional schools, like medical and nursing, will have detrimental consequences on Black health for generations to come. This is about life & death for us. Today, we are only 5% of physicians.

Imagine calling a group of residents “diversity hires” when they:
•completed undergrad
•took the MCAT
•passed their med school classes
•passed Step
•interviewed for their positions
Very embarrassing, ugly behavior from someone who’s likely projecting their own mediocrity
Hey #MedTwitter apparently I didn’t earn my spot 🙄 Nor did any of my AMAZING CO-RESIDENTS! Because we have a diverse class, we aren’t qualified, smart enough, or deserving of this 🤷🏾♂️ #Match2023 Can I get an audit I guess?
I didn’t get into med school on my first try. I improved my grades, and rewrote my application. Immediately jumping to legal action/blaming minorities instead of reassessing your personal statement, interview skills, etc makes me think you might just have poor character
