No other country has ever negotiated so many trade deals simultaneously. 🇬🇧

Today, the UK signed a continuity trade deal with 🇪🇬 Egypt. Trade between 🇬🇧 & Egypt was £3.5bn in 2019.

That makes 55 countries with whom the UK has secured trade agreements.

@Jim_Cornelius Interesting - given they hate it. I guess the more pertinent question is comparing the SIVs to their average global export prices to see if the EPS (+ quotas) are actually creating an artificially high market price or not - you'd suspect it is, or why bother maintaining it...

@Jim_Cornelius Ah yeah looks like there is a preferential trigger within the quota following the update in 2009. Still the case that a specific rate would be applied if the oranges were cheap enough, but Israel looks a poor example to use!
