@zbitter I'd love to see an organized trans-con make a comeback. I ran the 1992 Trans-Am; LA to NY in 64 consecutive stages. As per the calendar in UR magazine, entry fee was $300. lol.
@JoshCox@jimryun Agreed. SI featured a variety of T&F athletes on the cover over the years and no one wrote better about elite distance running than Kenny Moore: https://t.co/Y3AAx0WqTE
@runcandice So sorry for his family's loss and for the impact on your daughter. In my work world of public education, this comes up more than I would've ever imagined. This is a resource we have shared with parents: https://t.co/j36MSjuGxG
@vonstroh @SageCanaday@runcandice@JamilCoury I appreciate that @runcandice allows folks to earn entry to her 200s through volunteer work or captaining aid stations. I and many others I know have earned entries that way.
@MJGold Condense the schedule; keep ticket prices reasonable; put some HS elite races in the mix; invest in a knowledgeable, engaging in-house announcer who can direct fans' attention to the important moments/stories.
