@RaymondoRezend7@NationalHomeles@YaleLawSch@machinegunkelly Hi Raymondo. Our program in Old Orchard Beach is for adult men; that’s because of regulations at the state level that would require higher staffing levels and additional security for a mixed-gender program. Our Detox on India Street in Portland serves adults of any gender.

@catculley@CityPortland@MaineHousing The need definitely exceeds the available funding. We just wanted to make sure our partners know we appreciate what they *are* able to do. 🙂
Credit where due, @CityPortland supports our HOME Team program. @MaineHousing helps fund our shelter, and Maine Office of Behavioral Health makes our Detox accessible to uninsured folks. But the need is great, and community support is such an important part of that! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
In conversations I have about our unhoused @MilestoneMaine is referenced as a top resource for the police. Unfortunately they don’t have regular funding from State or City!
