@mikopowers Non- Nigerians will pronounce your native names correctly but wazobia will ask for English names claiming they can't pronounce it. I just told them I don't have English name, if I can pronounce yours with accents you should do same
When we call them out for their information suppression operation against Edo people across the media and social media platforms, some f00ls on this app will take it personal.
Agbonifo boldly written there as his name yet this animal operating this account decided to hyphenate a complete Edo name thinking we won’t stop this evil? If you look closely it’s one of these useless WAZOBIA cursed creature operating this account.
If all the Southern and Middle-Belt senators align, it will be better for everyone, because it seems that their core Northern counterparts do not care at all.
I like as Monday message on cult!sm is clear and manifested today , the one on kidnapping should be very clear too so those news won’t be coming out of Edo state and he should restore sanity to Edo state .
Other areas like this erosion in the city when it rains , we just Dey enter raining season so he should talk with his team , light never still Dey o😩 he should look into that .
Even if I say make he leave Tilibu and focus on Edo state issues only he nor go hear 🥲
These, in fact, are the women who never gets disrespected in public with “I didn’t marry my spec but I married this one because she gives me peace”
These are your specs, “who will marry these ones?” is just the performative balderdash some of you use in deceiving simpletons
Did you know? No Nigerian President or governor has ever secured a chieftaincy title from the Benin palace?
No Nigerian Head of State or President or governor in Nigeria is known to have received a Benin chieftaincy title from the Oba of Benin.
Interestingly, one of the worst things about the Nigerian character - bloviating, buffoonish overconfidence - is also a superpower that sets Nigerians apart when it is intentionally harnessed and channelled correctly.
Whenever Nigerians (born and raised in Nigeria) learn how to combine their social confidence with actual intellectual substance and a good amount of self awareness, the world will have a serious problem on its hands.
I believe in my people🙏🏿
Everyone in Nigeria is Yoruba in 2026, I agree. Even the document you shared is referencing post-1860 from when the movement for the unification of the Western Niger started by the British. This was forceful move by colonizers.
This movement was opposed by Ẹdo, under Ọba Akẹnzua II, who would later fight for the creation of the Mid-West region (later called Bendel), as Ẹdo rejected being forced to suddenly becoming Yoruba, despite most of its country already shared to make up for Nigeria. We did not want to lose our historical identity.
However, if the ONLY people that were first nicknamed as “Yariba” in the 1640s were the Oyo people (who would later be called Yoruba by the British), while Abeokuta existed on its own, Egba on its own, Ijebu on its own, how then are Ẹdo people or the Ẹdo Monarchy Yoruba?🤔
Consistent history connects how Igodomigodo became Ubini and how Ọba Ẹwuare (I) renamed the country to Ẹdo in the 1400s. Ubini was pronounced“Bini” by our neighbors (who today claim to be Yoruba). The Ubini name would be called “Bennin” by the Portuguese in the 1400s. See the consistencies?
Was Oduduwa or Oromiyan Yoruba, if Yoruba did not exist as far as the 900-1100? Una no Dey think?🤦♂️
A Word For The Saved..🇳🇬🤔
Proverbs 31:8-9. Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute…
Psalm 82:3-4: Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppression..
Pastor Adeboye!!! Repent..🤨
The funny thing is that Ẹdo already had a name for Ocean since the 1500s before the tribe “Yoruba” ever existed. The first term used to describe you was in the 1640s as “Yariba” by the Songai Writer and Yoruba came into being a term to describe you by the British (while corrupting Yariba) in the 1800s.
But suddenly, you claim Ẹdo words and even claim Ẹdo heritage as being Yoruba in 2026. Y’all have no pride to protect, so it’s fine. But I recommend you at least have some shame and learn when/where not to talk.🤦♂️
Do you guys even know your own history?
People are not even saying the major thing about this video.
Pastor Adeboye went to the US to convince the US government that Tinubu is doing well and to also show subtle support that there is no Christian Genocide because at least he's a pastor of a very big church.
We are overlooking the purpose of the video.
She's an edo girl from Benin kingdom, name "Osasere Okundaye", the fact you couldn't just congratulate her, but decided to create a fake yoruba identity in other to do so shows how bias and tribalistic you are...
🙏 how do we put a community note on this!!!
I’ve seen many idiotic comments regarding my tweet about the Benin-Britain war of 1897 and all I can feel is the gratitude of growing up in the midst of elders who were alive at the time of the war (some passed away between 1997 and 2003). They lived well over 100 years at the time. They thought me and my siblings much of what we needed to know.
Then some who were born in 1900/1920 and learnt the real story of all that transpired in 1897. Some now dead, some quite incapacitated. Then some born between 1930-1940. My own late father who passed on in 2022 was amongst this list, with some others still alive.
I say this because not everything the British wrote about the war was exactly true without trying to paint some sense of superiority or not to show too much of their losses.
Today, all that many of you have to learn about history are from Grok, Wikipedia, and some journals written by either British colonizers or those that fell to their loyalty.
Some of the few things that speak the might of Benin’s resistance forces against Britain are the medal issued to those who could survive the defeat of Benin and their expressed anger of looting the sovereign country of its artifacts to repay for Britain’s heavy losses, plus raising the Palace down in flames in an attempt to pass a message that the Monarchy had ended. If it was as easy as many think it was, they wouldn’t need to express all that.
Benin was not the only country colonized by Britain by force but, it is the one place talked about in Nigerian history and one of the few learnt about in all of African history. This isn’t by accident. Britain, despite their attempt to claim superiority, recognizes till date the bravery and strategic war handling of Ẹdo people.
For all you choose to know or what is available to your minute mind, I wish you all the best in your thoughts about the capacity and capability of the Ẹdo people of Great Benin.🦇🐆
For some Ẹdo people who still go to the internet and books alone for quality history, ask yourselves whether the processes for crowing Ọmọ N’Ọba is written in any book. Ask yourselves if there’s any book that tells you how exactly the Benin moats were built, yet Ẹdo people secretly passed all the knowledge from generation to generation.
Go home now and sit your grandparents down. Ask them questions for answers you will never find in books, and DO NOT COME TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO SAY WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT.
Ọba Gha Tọ Kpẹre, Isẹẹ!🐆
