स्थानिक नागरिकांच्या सोयीसाठी उभारण्यात आलेली ही सुविधा त्यांना समर्पित करताना विशेष आनंद होत आहे. या निमित्ताने गिरगावकरांची भेट घेऊन त्यांच्याशी संवाद साधण्याचीही उत्सुकता आहे.

आपल्या परिसराचा विकास हा स्थानिक नागरिकांच्या सहभागातूनच अधिक अर्थपूर्ण होतो.

If expiry dates & nutrition labels on products from major global brands can be tampered with, what can consumers actually trust?

The Navi Mumbai FDA’s crackdown is both welcome & deeply concerning. I’ve consistently raised the need for stronger action on food safety & labelling.

Navi Mumbai - The Food and Drug Administration and Navi Mumbai Crime Branch have seized 4,142 cartons of food products worth an estimated ₹5.75 crore after expiry dates on packaging were erased and replaced with new dates.The raid was conducted at Sadhana Enterprises in the TTC Industrial Area, Turbhe. Officials found that manufacturing and expiry or use-by dates had been tampered with. New stickers showing ingredients and nutritional information were also found to have been altered.The seized products included brands such as Lays, Kurkure, Bingo, Fun Flips, Maggi, Rasoi, Knorr, Hellmann’s, Thums Up and Limca. The stock was linked to 10 companies.Police also seized additional unlabeled and expired food worth ₹30,600. Investigators suspect an attempt to replicate packaging. An FIR has been registered at Turbhe police station under the FSSAI Act, 2006, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The process to suspend the food licence of Sadhana Enterprises has been initiated.

India GDP growth Q1 (April-June) at 7.8%. This was the peak period of Iran conflict. India has shown resilience vis a vis concerns in March and April.
India has also bought insurance with ~ $100 bn+ Foreign Currency deposits for 3 to 5 year maturity.
However, Middle East is still unresolved, AI game is full on, and US bond yields are playing truant.
For us, it is time to feel better, but have work to do, and let us not lower guard.

आज खेतवाडी १२ वी गल्ली, पावरी हायस्कूलसमोर नव्या वाचनालयाचे उद्घाटन केले. आजच्या AI च्या युगातही पुस्तक वाचनाची सवय तितकीच महत्त्वाची आहे. वाचनामुळे ज्ञान वाढते, विचारांना नवी दिशा मिळते आणि नवनवीन गोष्टी शिकण्याची प्रेरणा मिळते.

या वाचनालयामुळे परिसरातील नागरिक, विशेषतः तरुणांमध्ये वाचनाची आवड वाढेल, असा विश्वास आहे.

Glad to see @fssaiindia propose clear front-of-pack warnings. I raised this issue in #Parliament last year. Singapore’s A–D Nutri-Grade system shows how simple, easy-to-understand labels can help consumers make healthier choices and support PM @narendramodi ji’s vision of an obesity-free India.

Great to be back in a business school classroom! I first visited @ISBedu 20+ years ago, when #ISB was just getting started. Many of its founders have been well known to my family and some of those who serve on its board are close to me personally.

The conversation was all about Parliament, regulation, the Arctic, India’s space economy and tech. Loved the energy, curiosity and no-filter questions from the students. India’s future is clearly in good hands.

📍 नारळी पौर्णिमा उत्सव - कोळीवाडा, वरळी

सन आयलाय गो नारली पुनवंचा..!!

नारळी पौर्णिमेच्या निमित्ताने आज वरळी कोळीवाड्याला आवर्जून भेट दिली. समुद्राला नारळ अर्पण करून मनोभावे प्रार्थना केली. कोळी बांधवांसाठी समुद्र हा केवळ उपजीविकेचे साधन नसून त्यांच्या जीवनाचा, संस्कृतीचा आणि परंपरेचा अविभाज्य भाग आहे. त्यामुळे समुद्राशी असलेले हे नाते आणि नारळी पौर्णिमेच्या निमित्ताने जपली जाणारी ही समृद्ध परंपरा जवळून अनुभवता आली.

यावेळी कोळी बांधवांशी मनमोकळा संवाद साधला, त्यांच्या भावना जाणून घेतल्या आणि नारळी पौर्णिमेच्या मनःपूर्वक शुभेच्छा दिल्या. समुद्रराजाला नारळ अर्पण करून कोळी बांधवांच्या सुख-समृद्धीसाठी, सुरक्षिततेसाठी आणि त्यांच्या व्यवसायात भरभराटीसाठी प्रार्थना केली. त्यांच्या कष्टाला, परंपरेला आणि संस्कृतीला सदैव मान-सन्मान मिळत राहो, हीच सदिच्छा. वरळी कोळीवाड्यातील आपुलकी, उत्साह आणि नारळी पौर्णिमेचा जल्लोष आनंद देणारा होता.

यावेळी विधानपरिषद उपसभापती श्री. सचिन अहिरजी, आमदार श्री. दीपक केसरकरजी, राज्य संघटन प्रमुख श्री. आनंद परांजपे, चित्रपट सेनेचे श्री. सुशांत शेलार यांच्यासह स्थानिक पदाधिकारी, कार्यकर्ते आणि मोठ्या संख्येने कोळी बांधव, भगिनी उपस्थित होते.

आज हैदराबाद में @Shivsenaofc तेलंगाना के राज्यस्तरीय कार्यकर्ता सम्मेलन में शामिल होकर बेहद प्रसन्नता हुई। तेलंगाना के हमारे समर्पित शिवसैनिकों और पदाधिकारियों से संगठन के विस्तार, जनसेवा और पार्टी को राज्य में और मजबूत बनाने को लेकर सार्थक चर्चा हुई।

तेलंगाना में शिवसेना को मजबूत करने के लिए प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री सिंकारू शिवाजी और उनकी पूरी टीम के अथक परिश्रम एवं समर्पण के लिए उन्हें हार्दिक बधाई। कार्यकर्ताओं का उत्साह देखकर साफ है कि @mieknathshinde जी के नेतृत्व में शिवसेना अब महाराष्ट्र से आगे बढ़कर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी मजबूत पहचान बना रही है। जनसेवा, राष्ट्रहित और मजबूत संगठन के साथ शिवसेना की राष्ट्रीय यात्रा लगातार आगे बढ़ेगी।

Good to see reports of mandatory dope tests for commercial pilots. Credit to @RamMNK ji for considering this. @DGCAIndia should go one step further & make mental-health counselling part of aviation safety protocols too. It’s just as vital for safety, yet rarely talked about.

Two days ago, I flagged this issue. Today, reports say the @airindia pilot has failed his second dope test too. 17 passengers were injured. This could have ended much worse.

I’ve spoken to Union Civil Aviation Minister @RamMNK ji & am hopeful @DGCAIndia will read the riot act.

The devastating images coming out of #Nepal & Tibet are a sobering reminder of how unforgiving nature can be. In our relentless pursuit of progress, we often create the conditions for our own undoing. How far can we keep pushing the limits of the planet before it pushes back?
