Does more detail automatically make a VTuber model better? I don’t think so.....

Sometimes there are so many details that your eyes just start to get overwhelmed. You don’t know where to look anymore, and the character gets lost behind all the little decorations.
To me, a good design is about an idea and a personality first. Everything else comes after.

I’d say there are three main things:

• Silhouette. You should be able to recognize the character even from a small image.
• Colors. A few main shades that create a recognizable look.
• Details. And this is where it gets really interesting for me

I love when the details tell you something not only about the character, but also about the person behind them. Their tastes, interests, personality, little personal symbols..I want to see more than just an alter ego. I want to see a little piece of the person behind the model.

What do you think? Is more detail always better, or can less really be more?
