I’m so sad he murdered that poor, innocent, house bombing terrorist while he was running towards a group of civilians and throwing around objects that could kill someone on impact.
Also, “surrendering?” He tried to get up 4 times, and gave zero indication of surrender
How do yall still not understand this scene. He brutally murdered a man in public who was surrendering. He got cap’s shield covered in blood. Thats not what Cap does.
@popupipapo but studios don't feel the need to commit that level of effort anymore, when a good enough result can be done quicker by spending more money.
@popupipapo The problem is that the the CGI is more realistic by default, so they put less effort into selling that realism. Not universally true, but it is what's leading to this perception.
Davey Jones, if given the same amount of effort, would look photo realistic today...
@NavierStr@Yeenie_Mcbeenie I'd rather not engage with that babble. Would get me nowhere fast.
Instead, I decided to being to attention something that was more nuanced and reflected some people's actual reasons for their grievances.
@NavierStr@Yeenie_Mcbeenie I was moreso talking about how a character delivers their dialogue shpuld influence what they say in that dialogue. It is impossible for Michael Cera to sound like Thanos, so he shouldn't say the same things as Thanos. Same thing goes for the fairer sex.
@NavierStr@Yeenie_Mcbeenie The artwork is moreso a poor attempt to communicate part of why a lot of "strong women" in shows and games aren't taken seriously. People who feel the need to go on about their deeds and are quick to anger are generally seen as being vain and weak of spirit.
@STzarlesWindsor@Yeenie_Mcbeenie So you're asserting that you, someone who's never had a girlfriend, know more about what women are like than me? Sure mate.
Regardless, me talking about how cool the Sisters of Battle are is demonstrative of the fact that I like women with personalities in my stories/games.
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie This is the reason that lots of the "angry" or "badass" dialogue for women in games comes off as lame. All the writers do is write a man and then gender swap them at the very end.
The Sisters of Battle being as cool as they are is proof that being quiet isn't the only solution.
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie Whether what a character says sounds cool or not heavily depends on the voice saying it and the context it's in. You need to be able to write around that.
You can't give dialogue designed for a gravelly voiced man to a high pitched voiced man or a non-gravelly woman.
