So basically it’s because anyone, regardless of gender, can perpetuate misogyny or hold internalized misogynistic beliefs.

There’s a clear pattern, too. Ragatha is repeatedly subjected to some of the most graphic violence in the series, she’s stabbed, deep-fried, shot in the face over and over while also being emotionally worn down. Gangle is constantly mocked, frightened, and physically hurt. Zooble is made fun of over their body and Jax even highlights their dysphoria. Pomni is thrown from a moving truck and lashed out at the moment she reaches out to Jax. Ribbit is isolated, manipulated, and emotionally abused.

Whether you personally interpret that pattern as misogyny is really up for interpretation. But dismissing all of it as "just schoolyard bullying" ignores the scale of violence and harm.

The fandom’s response to Jax being abusive both physically and emotionally is worrying. To the point where GOOSEWORX has even called it out. Time and again, the women (and Zooble's) suffering gets minimized as “slapstick” or as overdramatic, while the focus shifts toward defending Jax's thought process because he has a difficult past. Its worth examining, because minimizing emotional abuse and expecting women or other non-men to simply endure it is something that plays out IRL.
