@GrAy42561721 @masonjozer@ChrisPatriot75@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC Ok we’re talking about two different things. I’m saying sex Ed should start in the first grade with lessons on consent and body parts and stuff like that. What makes the bill a problem is you aren’t allowed to tell first graders that gay people exist.
@PPusherJoe @PogiSexual @GMctavvy@ChrisPatriot75@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC Haha we’re talking about the importance of sex Ed in general at this point. The law will prohibit kids under nine from hearing that gay people exist though which is a problem. I think a kindergartener might benefit from an explanation for why they saw two men holding hands.
@iWannaBeIieve Man with “pronouns are for the mentally ill” in his bio criticizes local teacher. He/him are pronouns you dumb fuck. You have pronouns. Imagine being so stupid but having such strong opinions.
@cjhormes@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC You don’t know what public education is about, Craig. It’s not just a list of things kids should know before they graduate. It’s character development as well. We make kids into productive members of society as well.
@delibean21@Insein81@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC Also this isn’t an appeal to authority because I am the authority as an educational professional. It’s also not my sole point as I go in to explain that I do not resemble the description of what it means to be a teacher.
@delibean21@Insein81@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC I can’t think of another reason why parents wouldn’t want their kids to hear about the existence of gay people before the age of 9. Well one other explanation is that conservative politicians pretended the law was about something else and they believed them. That’s also likely.
@delibean21@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC If the schools are all messed up, doesn’t that suggest a systemic problem, and not the fault of teachers in general? What, are teachers just better in other countries? Perhaps American children are just stupider? No. It wouldn’t be ok to blame the kids.
@POPSUGAR I respect that this article focuses on one facet of the incident, but if you don’t even mention that the attack was unwarranted, or that Will showed some real toxic masculinity, then your priorities are all wrong.
@Mrgchi @Derry_Kev@POPSUGAR Chris Rock made a joke about Christopher Reeves being in a wheelchair 20 years ago. Is this how far we’ve come? He’s a comedian. He goes the line. You can call it a medical condition but men lose their hair with age all the time and they’re fair game. It’s a double standard.
@Mrgchi @Derry_Kev@POPSUGAR Don’t you think it’s a double standard that men are mocked for their hair loss constantly without any consequence? The man got violently attacked and yelled at and still apologized.
@POPSUGAR Bro miss me with that. Men get roasted constantly for their hair loss. If my wife slapped somebody in the face for teasing me for being bald, I would be shocked and apologize to the person who just got assaulted. Battle? Give me a break. Pure vanity.
@SleezeyDiesel@Deadflow3rOShea@ABC Perhaps you shouldn’t be a parent. I had to take courses and get qualified. What did you do to become a parent? Fuck?
