GLHS jazz students were treated to a master clinic taught by guest artists Chris Ott (trombone) & Dan White (saxophone). These OSU graduates founded the jazz band THE HUNTERTONES & helped our students prepare for their annual All-District Jazz Festival Concert last week.

🎼 🎵 🎶 Congratulations to senior clarinetist Asa Mattson who performed with the OMEA All-State Band at the Columbus Convention Center. Asa was chosen as one of 90 top band students from across the state to be in this competitive honor band in the state of Ohio.

Our GLHS band students had an exciting morning with a visit from Major Ryan Nowlin, Assoc Director of "The President's Own" Marine Band. Major Nowlin shared his piece "Through the Valley" and engaged in a Q&A session. Thanks to the LHS music department for this opportunity!
