The settlement between Blake Lively and the Wayfarer defendants is a HUGE win for Justin Baldoni and his side.

I know the agreed statement between the parties' lawyers will seem anodyne to people who don't know how the courts work, but anyone who has been involved in costly litigation will know that settlements demand a veneer of civility which preserves the dignity of the loser.

But make no mistake about it. Blake Lively has lost, not only the case and the $50m it has cost her in her legal fees alone, but her reputation and career.

None of this comes as a surprise to me or to my Hollywood friend who kept me posted as to how she had destroyed her career. The surprising thing would've been if she had proceeded to trial.

Congratulations Justin Baldoni, Jamey Heath and all the other Wayfarer parties and the hundreds of innocent victims she and her husband Ryan Reynolds sucked into their destructive scheme.

It will be interesting to see whether it emerges to what extent Lively has had to make a contribution to the other side's costs. She got a settlement statement that has preserved her dignity. That usually comes at a high cost to the loser, and make no mistake about it, she is the loser.

I gather that Hollywood now reckons it can breathe easily once more. Had this case gone to trial and had she won on ANY point whatsoever, no one would ever have been able to make another movie without fear of being Livelyed.

My mother taught us black American history when we were in elementary school. The vast majority of those incredible stories of courage, intelligence, savvy that we learned have NEVER been told in plays, film, television. Instead, the Left declare bullying into white history is the "win".
This is creating another generation of people who believe black people have never accomplished anything, and the only way to prevail is to push ourselves into the history (and stories) of whites.
Subconscious effect = black people become more insecure + entitled + believe bullying is how you win.
Racism doesn't decline if you only change the target. Anti-white racism is still racism and doesn't improve the circumstances of black people. Trumpeting and INCREASING OUR OWN ACCOMPLISHMENTS is the only way forward.

#Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell has sent a reminder to viewers ahead of the show’s fifth season.

The upcoming season is set to follow a sapphic romance between Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza), which was set up in the most recent episodes of the show. The relationship will be the first major LGBTQ+ storyline featured on ‘Bridgerton’.

In an interview published by Netflix on 24 March, Brownell said: “I’m very happy for people to discuss and debate the show and our approach to adapting the books. But I want to state really plainly, there is no place for homophobia or racism or any form of bigotry in the Bridgerton world.

She continued: “Bridgerton is about love and inclusivity. Masali and Hannah and all of our cast and crew deserve nothing but positivity and love. It’s been beautiful to see the way fans have already started rallying around them, and I can’t wait to watch that love grow.”
