The same women who find this weird also think that “sexualization” is evil, men are too porn-brained, and women need their own spaces to escape the leering & oppressive male gaze.

It’s clear that they aren’t actually interested in sexual virtue or women’s safety, but rather total psychic dominance; a man must be numb to all stimulus, his mind completely blank, until a woman commands otherwise (i.e. “gives consent”).
