1️⃣ LetsDefend SOC Monitoring Lab
Create a LetsDefend account and investigate 3-5 SOC alerts, documenting your findings. The goal is to get real SOC analyst investigation experience.

2️⃣ TryHackMe SOC / Cyber Defense Path
Complete SOC Level 1 or Cyber Defense rooms on TryHackMe and log what happened in each scenario. The goal is to learn how to detect and respond to security incidents.

3️⃣ CyberDefenders Blue Team Labs
Finish 1-2 beginner blue-team challenges and write a short case summary of the investigation. The goal is to practice real-world incident analysis skills.

4️⃣ SIEM Project with Splunk or QRadar
Install Splunk or QRadar, ingest sample logs, and create one detection rule. The goal is to gain hands-on SIEM monitoring experience.

5️⃣ Wazuh SIEM Project
Deploy Wazuh, onboard one endpoint, and trigger a suspicious activity alert. The goal is to learn how endpoint monitoring and detection works.

6️⃣ Windows Log Incident Investigation
Enable Windows event logging and simulate suspicious activity like failed logins. The goal is to practice turning raw logs into a security investigation.

In cybersecurity, theoretical knowledge will get your foot in the door—but practical experience is what makes you a real threat to threats.

Platforms like TryHackMe are game-changers.
They let you:
•Get your hands dirty with real-world tools (Splunk, Wireshark, etc.)
•Practice real attack/defense scenarios
•Build muscle memory in a way textbooks and videos just can’t
•Learn at your own pace, without dropping thousands on a cert

The trade-off?
These platforms aren’t resume candy. You won’t impress HR by listing every room you’ve completed.
But that’s not the point.

The real value?
Turning what you learn into projects.
Write a blog post breaking down a box.
Build a home lab and replicate a scenario.
