THE MISSED CONNECTION, Tia Williams’ second-chance romance about an anxious casting director and the one who got away is a rollicking good time. @grandcentralpub

@AuthorGFAllen That private love affairs are the ones that last and work best. That you never have to settle for less simply because it will be approved by others. But packaged as a "rock star romance" because it centers around a touring musician & a photographer.
The antidote for brain rot is going back to longer formats: reading books.
Reading will help you rebuild your focus and attention. Pick ones that challenge you, satisfy your curiosity, or align with your interests today.
Writing forces us to untangle ideas, surface truths, and articulate what we didn’t even know we felt. ✍️

People say, “I don’t need to read fiction.” You absolutely do. The world is currently being run by rich, antisocial, amoral men who have never opened a book, and you need only look around to see the damage it’s caused. Empathy & curiosity are vanishing because people don’t read.
People are so judgmental about reading. This isn’t school anymore. You can read in more than one way. You can read whatever you like. You can read for fun. Nobody should decide what reading is to you, but you.
