There are two types of conversations that are happening in Zimbabwe and in the world, the James Manyika/Strive Masiyiwa type of conversation, and the Emmerson Mnangagwa/Uerbert Angel type of conversation.

You have to chose the conversation that you want for your life and your family, many have made those choices already, and they are self evident in their lives.

My father taught me to make choices that will outlive me, and that will be celebrated by future generations.

More than ten doctors wrote to me this morning correctly expressing their legitimate anger at what happened to one of their colleagues yesterday in Manicaland.

This is Dr Mthabisi Nembaware.

He was involved in a road traffic accident yesterday, he was coming from a rural hospital in Hauna where he was saving lives, he was going to Mutare.

The car in which he was a passenger had a burst tyre resulting in this tragic accident.

He had severe Traumatic Brain Injury and was stabilised at Mutare Hospital.
But unfortunately the hospital doesn’t have a functional ICU unit or a functional city to city ambulance system.

As such, he was supposed to be transferred to Harare by air ambulance for special medical care.

Despite parading the overpriced so called helicopter ambulance, the State couldn’t airlift him to Harare.

His family put together US$5,000 to airlift him using a private ambulance air service.

But sadly the air ambulance plane couldn’t go because Mutare airport doesn’t have working landing lights.

Unfortunately, Dr Mthabisi Nembaware succumbed to the injuries at around 11 pm last night.

The doctor has become yet another unnecessary statistic of a collapsed healthcare services.

Our country has adequate resources to have a good functional healthcare system, but the public funds are ruthlessly looted to the detriment of the whole nation.

Millions of dollars are spent annually buying thousands of luxury cars for Zimbabwe’s unethical political elite, money that could have been deployed fix the critical public services like healthcare.

Dear @_AfricanUnion

Your failure to enforce free, fair and credible elections held according to your own election guidelines is what has promoted coups that are celebrated by African youths.

You only talk when dictators are removed by militaries, but you keep quiet when elections are brazenly rigged.

You have lost credibility in the eyes of many Africans because of your inability to enforce your own election protocols.

Military coups used to be condemned by African citizens, but today they are celebrated by the youth because they have become the only way to remove ruthless and corrupt dictators.

Until you seriously start enforcing your own election protocols, coups will continue to be executed, and there is nothing you will do about it except issuing these useless statements.

This statement means nothing to an African youth without a job, or healthcare, or any prospective future because of a dictator whose family has been in charge of a country for 56 years.

The could have become seductive to such African youths with a hopeless future because of your failures, you have become a joke.

Devious and opportunistic militaries will take advantage of the leadership vacuum that you have created because nature doesn’t like a vacuum which is now being filled by coups.

It is either you enforce your election protocols of free, fair and credible elections, or coups continue.

It is tragic that you have to be reminded of things that play out yearns whilst you just watch.
If you don’t want to be concerned by the spectre of coups, be concerned by those that rig and steal elections.

I urge Zimbabweans not to judge election observer team output with what you read or watch on State media outlets.

They edit what they don’t like, and you get misled.

Observer teams come from institutions with social media handles, go there and read their unedited reports.

The Vice President of the EU Commission & EU High Representative, Josep Fontelles, has issued a statement saying that ZEC must exercise maximum transparency and show disaggregated results by polling station.

We agree!

EU has been funding ZEC operations.

Military officers in Gabon have gone on national television saying that they have seized power because elections held over the weekend were not credible.

President Ali Bongo who has been in power for 14 years had been declared winner the election with 64 percent of the total presidential vote.

The military said that they don’t believe the election was free, fair or transparent.
They said the Gabonese government has not been respecting the will of the people for a long time.

The voters roll legally closed on 2 June, but ZEC kept on adding voters after illegally.

We identified these voters in areas like Bikita {Wards 3, 27}, Hurungwe {Wards 2, 19, 20} etc.

For instance, 25% of the voters at Oldonyo Primary in Hurungwe were added in August.

Reflections from my own polling station!

As you will all know that I was a Presidential Roving agent for Runde rural constituency in Zvishavane.

My area of influence covered one of my very own wards which is Mtambi ward. I come from Machanja Village in Mazvihwa and as such my polling station of choice is Mapedza primary school.

Here at my very own polling station I came across the results of voter intimidation! It is known in my village that I’m a strong supporter and member of the CCC.

Now my village headmen who also happens to be my uncle was targeted for intimidation by Zanu Pf functionaries. He was admonished for not coming to Zanu meetings with his people as he spends much of his time at Ngezi river tendering to his his garden. He was threatened for being a sell out by association with myself!

Now fast forward to the voting day- my headman Bamunini chenje would declare right in front of me and other agents at the poling station that he was unable to read or write. He became an assisted voter and unwilling voted for Zanu Pf.

This is just one of the many cases of intimidation from my polling station add to that there was a group of Faz youth at all roads leading towards the polling station-

At Mutambi polling station I had to get the services of our local youth to stop the intimidation which was happening outside the 300m perimeter where police had no desire to intervene.

From Mapedza I then moved to Zungwi polling station and on my way I picked up an old man in his late 70s. He was hunting for his poling station after his name had been moved from Mapedza. The man who was apparently hard of hearing was very determined to cast his ballot.

We failed to locate his name at Zungwi and he asked me to take him to my next stop which was Mtambi.

He finally found his name at Mtambi and as he went into the polling booth the old man shocked all as he shouted ndiratidzei pana Chamisa…. A shocker indeed as it was never expected! He voted for his candidate of choice- President Chamisa!

I saw the pain in my bamunini eyes as he declared that he was unable to read and write. They voted for him. A young man who is both literate and intelligent. Here he was faced with real danger if he did otherwise- the mad crocodiles in the vilage had already promised to swallow him and dethrone him.

The election was neither free, fair nor credible! The result declared by Zec is therefore rejected!

We need a new SADC supervised election for zimbabwe to turn a page!

The UN Secretary General has expressed concern over the arrest of ERC and ZESN officials, and the role of FAZ in intimidating, harassing and coercing voters.

He further insists that the election result must reflect the will of the people.

The world is watching!

The secret voters roll which ZEC is refusing to release shows that 4125 voters were secretly moved from Harare Ward 40 to Harare Ward 39 in Dzivarasekwa.

The majority were moved from Yemurai Primary and Open Space AFM Church to Dzivarasekwa 5 Primary.

ZEC must explain!

A few days before election, ZEC made multiple illegal changes to the final Voters Roll.

Apart from secretly adding new voters 2 months after registration closed (Eg in Hurungwe RDC), ZEC also moved voters Eg from Chitungwiza Ward 18 to 19; from Kwekwe Ward 10 to Ward 6.

Just before elections, ZEC lied that they did not know about FAZ despite receiving multiple complaints.

We are waiting for ZEC to respond now that SADC and other observers witnessed FAZ interfering with voters.

Mandla has picked up another major discrepancy in the results that were published by ZEC.

A total of 40 constituencies in 2 provinces (Manicaland and Midlands) have wrong voter population.

The discrepancy involves 159,888 voters.

Its true we discovered the anomaly when the DZ voters roll arrived at 2 am, 5 hours b4 polls . ZEC had to dismantle 5 polling stations at Yamurai School in Ward 40 and create new ones at DZ 5 School in Ward 39 at 4am. We had to shift Agents & notify citizens on short notice.

THE MORNING AFTER : BEYOND THE POLITICS

As the Zimbabwe Presidential results are released tonight or whenever they are released I want to share some encouragement. There can only be one President at a time so I know some of you will celebrate and others will be sad at that point. Everyone wants their candidate to win.

But I want you to know that worldly governments come and go but in the heavenly kingdom this is our kind of government:
“There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace...” Isaiah 9:7

A few eternal truths to hold on to even in these times and always:

1. Your destiny and success is not dependent upon the occupants of State House, but the One who sits in the Throne Room

2. Your times and seasons are in the hands of the Lord and they shall not be altered or adjusted by anyone or anything.

3. All things work together for your good, including the government of the day, even that Ward Councillor and MP from the party you didn’t vote for

4. You operate according to God’s agenda, calendar and timeline because your “times and seasons are in His hands”

5. Where you are is not who you are. Your situation is not your destination. You will flourish wherever you are planted even in 🇿🇼

6. Your blessing is not determined by politics or geography but by divinity

7. Your life is bigger than the politics of the day

Having established these truths what do you do? Good question. Here are some practical things to do:

* Have a plan to succeed/prosper regardless of who is in State House. Your destiny is too big to outsource to one person who is voted every 5 years

* Avoid toxic and negative conversations about why this or that person could be better as your Councillor, MP or President - you will live with them for next 5 years

* When the wind blows some build windbreakers others build windmills. Be the latter and position yourself

* Leave politics to politicians - rise above it and move on. It takes a heart to forgive and a head/brain to move on

* Don’t curse your country. Bless it with your words.

* Wake up everyday and tell yourself that “I am an answer to Zimbabwe’s tough and stubborn questions”

* Get up. Dress up. Show up and show up early...

Declare this prayer:

Dear Lord. You have given me a great work to accomplish. Thank you that the government of the day works for my good. I can’t be delayed or denied. Your plans for my life will be fulfilled in full and on time. I am ready and equal to every challenge and opportunity in this season. Amen!
