Due to the Milton Optimists' 41st Annual Independence Run/Walk taking place tomorrow, July 4, the Tails n Trails Dog Park will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. This will allow a safer route for the runners in the event.
Water service is currently off for properties on West Lane, N. Clear Lake Ave, Lamar Dr east of N. Clear Lake Ave, Division St, and the north side of Burdick St due to a broken water valve. Staff is currently in the process of repairing the valve to restore service to the area.
Alliant Energy will be removing a tree at 5 S. John Paul Rd tomorrow morning. The equipment necessary for the work will require John Paul Rd be closed from Vernal Ave to Madison Ave. The closure is scheduled 9 am - 2 pm. A detour will be posted using Vernal Ave and Front St.

Snow started early Wednesday morning around 4:30 a.m. As of 3 p.m., the city had 1.5 inches of snow accumulation. Salt trucks made it through the arterial routes today. There is still a chance of more snow through this evening.

Beginning today, the small dog park along the parking lot for the Tails n Trails Dog Park will be closed. The recent rain showers have created muddy conditions at the park. We'll post updates on our website and social media channels. The large dog park is still available for use.

Crews are expected to start work on Woodcrest Lane and Chapel Drive tomorrow, September 8. The work will include new sidewalk installation, curb and gutter removal and replacement, and asphalt removal and replacement. The work is expected to be completed by October 28.
