Mimmo

Profile of Domenico 'Mimmo' Lucano, Dir @mattsterbelster. "An important documentary on the front lines of immigration" - Cleveland International Film Festival

[Mimmo @MimmoMovie]

I returned to southern Italy last month to see the mid-length documentary 'Mimmo' screened at Riace's first festival since the pandemic. So special to see and hear the locals' reaction to their once-exiled mayor onscreen, and then to sit alongside him for Q&A #mimmo #mimmolucano

[Matthew Bell @mattsterbelster]

Huge thanks to @mt_santaguida at Italy's @TgrRai TV for speaking to me about my Domenico Lucano documentary 'Mimmo'. Such a crucial time ahead of his appeal next week against a 13-year jail term for abetting illegal immigration #MimmoLucano

A timely selection from @DumboFilm festival as a semi-finalist, just days after Domenico Lucano was sentenced to 13 years in jail for abetting illegal immigration. Lucano considering an appeal #Lucano #immigration #refugee #Riace #Calabria

'Today it all ends for me.'
Domenico Lucano sentenced to 13 years in prison over alleged irregularities in his asylum seeker programme. A shock ruling, Reuters said 'it was not immediately clear which crimes he was convicted for'.

A truly moving and emotional score from @lincoln_jaeger …maybe we should think about a solo saxophone for the sequel? 🤔

[Mimmo @MimmoMovie]

@freefilmfest Hi, I'm an independent director from south London, are you looking for films to show at your festivals this summer? If so, I'd love to submit my recently completed documentary for consideration, please let me know!
