Calling this project a “Jewish settlement” is a blatant distortion of facts and a disgraceful attempt to exploit religious sentiments for political gain.
The Maldivian people’s unwavering support for Palestine is not a political weapon to be used to spread fear, hatred and misinformation.
Just because this investment did not materialise under your presidency does not give you the right to demonise it today. National development must never become hostage to personal political bitterness.
Criticise policies all you want, but stop manufacturing religious divisions and misleading the public for political relevance. The Maldives deserves responsible leadership, not reckless fearmongering.
Eagle Hills you are a depraved bunch exploiting a morally bankrupt regime that has lost its support with the voters. A Jewish settlement in a 100% Muslim society that cherishes the Palestinian cause showcases your hypocrisy n depravation. You are well advised to scrap ur project. We have nothing but disdain for this project.
Teachers everywhere are helping young people navigate a rapidly changing world. On World Teachers’ Day, we honour their knowledge, dedication and the lasting influence they have on our young minds, and express our heartfelt gratitude for their service, sacrifice and commitment for the future of our nation.
Our responsibility is to ensure that teachers have the support and conditions they need to perform their vital role effectively.
This administration is committed to prioritising teacher wellbeing, reducing excessive workloads, improving working conditions, strengthening inclusive education, and expanding teacher capacity to support children with disabilities.
When we support our teachers, we strengthen the foundation on which our children and our nation will grow. Let us continue to value the teaching profession, invest in our educators, and build an education system where every teacher has the support they need to help every child reach their full potential.
The Maldives National Service is proving to be a truly transformative programme for our youth and our society by building discipline, resilience, leadership, patriotism and essential life skills, while creating real pathways to employment and national service.
A generation that is confident, responsible and ready to contribute is one of the strongest investments we can make in our nation’s future.
I commend President Dr Mohamed Muizzu for this visionary initiative and for investing in the strength and potential of our young people. 🇲🇻
On the occasion of the 96th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I extend my warmest congratulations and sincere felicitations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, @KingSalman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, @spagov, the Royal Family, Government and the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Maldives and Saudi Arabia share a deep bond rooted in centuries of historic ties and our shared Islamic values. We remain deeply grateful for the generous support and immense contributions made by Saudi Arabia, to the socio-economic development of the Maldives.
We are confident that the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
May Almighty Allah grant the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued peace, prosperity, and glory.
I did not take this lightly, and I never will. Behind today's signature: countless hours of research, learning trips, long conversations with the President to align this with his policies and vision, discussions with colleagues and experts, and hard thinking about the real consequences of this and what it will really mean for Maldives — and one conviction: Maldivians deserve far more from the economic value our natural beauty creates than they have ever received.
This is designed to achieve President Dr. Muizzu's vision for the Maldives: a high-income country by 2040.
I pray to the Almighty to make this a success. 🇲🇻
On #WomenInPolicingDay, we celebrate the courage, dedication and professionalism of women serving in the @PoliceMv . Your service strengthens our communities and contributes every day to a safer Maldives.
Thank you for your service and commitment. 🇲🇻
I strongly condemn the attempted Houthi drone attack targeting the Holy City of Makkah. Any act that threatens the safety and sanctity of Islam’s holiest city is completely unacceptable and deeply offensive to the entire Muslim Ummah.
The Maldives stands in full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and commends the swift response of the Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces in safeguarding the Holy City, its pilgrims and residents.
We call for an immediate cessation of such attacks and urge all concerned to avoid further escalation and commit to the path of peace and dialogue.
Under the leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, @MMuizzu we strengthened the drug law to ensure that those who own or provide premises used as drug dens can also face imprisonment.
Today, the Court handed down the first prison sentence under this new provision. This is a significant milestone in our fight against drugs.
I commend the Maldives Police Service @PoliceMv and its officers for their determined investigative and enforcement efforts in making this possible.
This is another important step in President Dr. Muizzu’s commitment to finding a lasting solution to the drug problem and protecting our communities from its devastating impact.
It gives me great pleasure to extend Independence Day greetings from the Government and the people of the Maldives to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, His Excellency Prime Minister @anwaribrahim, and the brotherly people of Malaysia.
The Maldives and Malaysia are bound by shared values and mutual respect. Built on decades of close ties, our partnership has grown into one marked by high-level cooperation and strong people-to-people exchanges. I reaffirm the Maldives’ firm commitment to further strengthen this meaningful partnership in the years ahead.
