#ماعت_جروب| عثرت طالبة مصرية في الفرقة الأولى من كلية العلوم بجامعة #المنصورة على قطعة عظمية متناهية الصغر في صحراء محافظة الفيوم، جنوب غربي البلاد، دون أن تدرك أن هذه القطعة ستكون مفتاحًا لدراسة علمية مهمة عن طائر عاش في مصر قبل نحو 40 مليون سنة.

وأكدت التحليلات الأولية أن العظم يعود لطائر عاش في #مصر منذ نحو 40 مليون عام، ما يمثّل خطوة مهمة في تتبع الحياة الطيرية القديمة على أرض مصر، بحسب وسائل إعلام محلية.

وقال مؤسس قسم الحفريات الفقارية بجامعة المنصورة، الدكتور هشام سلام، إن العثور على العينة جاء ضمن العمل البحثي المعتاد للفريق، الذي يعتمد على استخراج الحفريات من طبقات الصخور، مشيرًا إلى أن الفريق كثيرًا ما يصادف عينات مختلفة داخل الصخور تحمل قيمة علمية كبيرة.
