@eeyanmiller @FPMRSJournal Most of the time I dont use anything because in most cases you can see evidence of flow with the naked eye. I have never used phenazopyridine. Just my opinion/experience.
What is the biologic plausibility behind phenazopyridine’s ability to affect voiding trial outcomes and how might this be altered in the setting of continuous bladder drainage followed by bladder backfill?

Patients with a planned overnight stay after prolapse surgery were randomized to either a 2nd dose of phenazopyridine 200 mg on POD1 or nothing. Primary outcome= “successful voiding trial”. Indwelling cath until #voidtrial. Consider mech of action of phenazopyridine here?
