@saoirseegot I absolutely agree. Being a resident myself, I have been exploring that dynamic between them in my own fic. How would it look, how would it feel? Would she even be conscious of it until pointed out? And how hovering over the line is a risk! It’s been fun diving into it!!
@eacxgk @tozdiaz Omg, agreed. I love rereading them and being like LOL that is not what they meant to say, but don’t worry because I got reading comprehension on my side.
I completed medical school, became chief resident, and was approached for my first ever position as a big girl doctor literally last week, but being reposted on this page tops all of that.
Brave women out on the streets of Kabul today following Talibans BAN on female education.
“They closed the schools, the world remained silent. They closed our universities. Silence. Now our educational courses?. What are we supposed to do? Kill ourselves?
Girls crying in agony as they’re told that they will have to leave the university & go home as the Taliban have BANNED female university education in Afghanistan.
Painful to hear. How can we sit idly by as millions of girls are denied their human rights.
I don’t know how many more “oh…”s I can handle with fellow med students when they ask simple questions about my life. Like NO SUSAN I DON’T MEAL PREP, MY LUNCH TODAY IS A BAG OF VEGGIE STICKS.
I said goodbye to a patient a few years ago. She didn’t die, she just got old. I treat patients to age 21 and they move on. When they do, I joke, “well, I did my job! I kept you alive until adulthood!”
With this kid, it was not a joke. 1/
I spent a couple hours sitting and chatting with my mom, reminiscing on memories of both our childhoods. I don’t want to look back, like I do with my dad, and think I didn’t get to know the person who raised me. It hit hard knowing these are the moments I can’t take for granted.
I don’t know how to my whittle down my “meaningful experiences” to 300 characters including spaces. I know I have parts of me to offer, but it’s hard to express that in two sentences.
