@ReviewofDeath A friend who’d dropped off Who in Series 6 thought she’d try again and this was the episode that was on that week. She has refused to watch the show since and just shouts “MAEVE’S GONNA DIE!” when I try to convince her otherwise. I’ve skipped this episode every time now as well.
@ReviewofDeath The Black Archive: An anthology series showing the origins of (Non-Doctor Related) items within the Archive with an overarching plot of a rookie UNIT scientist trying to escape from Something hunting them from inside the ever-changing halls.
@ReviewofDeath Completely fine base under siege story which is maybe the closest we get to a Spaceship Slasher in Who (at least the first half of the episode), the pub quiz locking system is silly but better than the mashing buttons they do on the escape pod.
@kasterpod Not for VOTD especially but with the return of Christmas Specials next year would you rather the RTD normal plot just set at Christmas style or the Moffat style of Who Does *Insert Christmas Story Here* adaptation? I can only see The Snow Queen, Krampus and The Grinch being left
@who_fx An Unbound series where the Doctor is just a queer policeman trying his best with overly dramatic murder plots.I’ll welcome Harry Styles in a dull-verse setting.
@kasterpod According to Tardis Wikia, Moffat offered a companion role to Carey Mulligan but she declined, do you think Sally Sparrow would have been a good series long companion?
@AlexBaxterScot1 The Mandrel Misunderstanding - When an unknown face of The Doctor shows up to an SSS outpost with a ship full of supposedly liberated Mandrels, it is up to Anya to confirm his identity and defend against an army of Vraxoin dealers trying to reclaim their cargo with deadly force.
@kasterpod How does Lazarus rank amongst DW’s CGI monsters so far and do you think he could have been done practically? He’s surprisingly Resident Evil-esque for family TV on reflection.
@ReviewofDeath Dialogue could at times be more on the nose than a Covid swab. Tone overall was weird with the random amounts of gore and the fact the show orphaned half the cast in the finale. The idea the Doctor just leaves this all to happen is suspect. Enjoyed it overall though so woe is me.
@ReviewofDeath I thought every monster of the week worked really well other than the Shadow Kin who should have been done with by episode 1 as the series moral quandary of the Genocide Cabinet was to similar to the Moment and it’s use was inevitable. Weeping Angel finale would be far more fun.
