After “Moonrise Kingdom” I remember wishing I could see Wes Anderson’s staging of “Noye’s Fludde” live. Now “The French Dispatch” has me imagining what other Anderson operas might look like, and not just because there’s a character named Zeffirelli.
@MichaelFabiano Nice to meet you here on Twitter, dear Michael!
Thanks for the invitation! Maybe sometime. Enjoy your time in Bonita - beautiful there!
Love makes you do strange things... Like cheat on your fiancée and seduce your best friend's?!
This November, Mozart's wildest comedy comes to life: "Così Fan Tutte." Two men — convinced of their girlfriends' fidelity — enter into a disastrous bet: https://t.co/LgXn4eBWl9
For far too long, inequities in our health care system have disproportionately hurt women & people of color.
Congress must right these wrongs.
I'm proud to intro the #EqualHealthCareforAll Act with @RepAdamSchiff, which would make equitable care a protected civil right for ALL.
Holding Steve Bannon in criminal contempt was an early test of our democracy’s recovery.
Now, it is in the hands of the Department of Justice.
To do justice.
UPDATE: Lawyer for Bright Sheng, the composer who caused an uproar when he showed the 1965 Olivier blackface "Othello" in class, says U of Michigan informed him it will not undertake an investigation "into his curricular choices." My story from last week:

Live classical music is back. Many star performers are not.
Musicians scheduled to appear at the world's leading concert halls haven't been able to travel because their visas are delayed by mounting backlogs, leading to a wave of cancellations. https://t.co/girRTmh3UD
From #London to #SanFrancisco! M° Nánási is back to the @SFOpera, where he has already started rehearsals for the new production of #Mozart's "Così Fan Tutte" (Première on Nov 21) 🎶🎵
Greetings from the US 😎
History will not be kind to today’s Republican Party.
A party whose members endorse sedition.
A party that lionizes insurrectionists.
A party that eagerly blocks progress on everything from climate to health care.
So much for the party of Lincoln.
"Janacek's music, gloriously played by the orchestra of the Royal Opera House under Henrik Nánási, is astonishingly powerful and turns the grim story into a magnificent musical experience."

Last #Jenůfa tonight at 7:30PM at the @RoyalOperaHouse! 🎵🎵🎶
Donald Trump tried to overturn the 2020 election.
He weaponized our government against the American people. And the worst part? He almost succeeded.
Republican leaders in Congress know all of this.
They just don’t care. And they continue to stand by as his attacks continue.
"The Orchestra were on terrific form: the score is shaped as finely as the singing by Nánási, with propulsive drive and moments of grandeur and solace all convincingly woven."

Another perfomance of #Jenůfa tonight at 7:30PM at the @RoyalOperaHouse 🎶🎵
@Airbnb … I still need to live somewhere after all … I’m working in Bilbao and I need a home that accurately represents what it is … this is robbery and I expect that it will be handled shortly
@Airbnb … many months a year and depend on quality short term furnished apartments. The staff on the phone today didn’t help. Bad apartments are bad apartments. There should be a policy of helping the customer change their circumstance and find something in its place …
