Defensive midfield is one of Shakhtar’s clearest squad needs — and Boca Juniors’ Milton Delgado looks like exactly the kind of profile Arda Turan could use.

A deep-lying playmaker with:

• 1.5 key passes p90
• 2.3 accurate long balls p90
• Only 0.2 times dribbled past p90
He is not perfect. He can lose the ball too often, his first-time passing needs work, and his aerial duel numbers are a concern.

O acordo do Benfica com o Shakhtar foi desenhado com a ideia que o ucraniano seria vendido por mais de 60 milhões num espaço de um-três anos — o Benfica incluiu a opção de comprar 10% do passe do Sudakov por seis milhões.

O acordo praticamente tranca o Sudakov no Benfica caso ele não valorize, dado que o Shakhtar manteve 25% do passe.

O Marco Silva tem vários casos sucesso na sua carreira onde deu uma segunda vida aos jogadores. E o Sudakov encaixa-se mais no perfil do 10 que utiliza nos seus 4-2-3-1 do que o Rafa.

Acho que o travão do Sudakov não falta de qualidade mas sim a circunstância da sua vida e do seu país. Muito do sucesso do Benfica na próxima época dependerá de quanto o Marco Silva conseguirá extrair do Sudakov.
