We are so sorry to hear the news of the death of C.J.Sansom. A master storyteller, we were honoured to have been able to stage an adaptation of his York-based #Sovereign last year. His rich legacy will be long-lasting with the beloved characters he created.

🎭It was wonderful to welcome Oscar winner Gary Oldman back to the theatre last week, and hear his stories about starting his career here in York.

He appeared in 6 productions at YTR in 1979, which included Privates on Parade and playing the cat in pantomime, Dick Whittington.
