Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri reflected on the remarkable legacy of scholars such as Ibn al-Haytham, Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina, Ibn Rushd and Al-Zahrawi, whose work in science, mathematics and medicine helped shape global civilisation. He emphasised that renewing this tradition today requires focused investment in knowledge, talent and strong institutions.

He outlined key priorities for the next two decades to enhance professional and scholarly contribution:
1.Advancing STEM education, including AI, science, medicine and data.
2.Expanding access to postgraduate and PhD research through structured programmes.
3.Promoting a culture of mentorship for young professionals.
4.Developing Islamic finance and fintech as a growing global industry.
5.Encouraging leadership in sustainability and climate-related research.
6.Strengthening institutions and entrepreneurial ecosystems for long-term growth.
7.Creating more pathways for professionals to contribute within public-sector careers.
8.Supporting platforms like the House of Wisdom that unite experts and channel knowledge toward public benefit.

He concluded by encouraging professionals to look beyond personal goals and help build the institutions that will drive future excellence.

The House of Wisdom (HOW): A New Platform Championing Professional Excellence and Intellectual Leadership

The House of Wisdom (HOW) is a dynamic new forum uniting leading professional voices for meaningful ideas, dialogue and collaboration. Founded by Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, HOW aims to inspire purposeful ambition, nurture excellence, and support Muslim professionals in the West to strengthen their contribution to society while excelling at the highest levels of their fields.

At the Westminster launch, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri delivered the keynote address and unveiled his latest publication, “Past and Present: How Muslims Enrich Our Society”. His speech highlighted the enduring influence of Muslim achievement – from the intellectual heritage of the Islamic Golden Age to contemporary advancements.

The event gathered a distinguished audience of senior partners, industry leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, technologists, medics and creatives – many of whom have broken barriers in their respective sectors.

A panel discussion followed, on the theme “Where Muslims Stand Today”, reflecting on current challenges and the opportunities ahead for emerging leaders.

On 24 November 2025, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri founded the House of Wisdom (HOW) in the heart of Westminster, London. HOW is a new professional networking forum for leading British Muslims. A visionary platform striving to build purpose, inspire excellence and create lasting networks.

The launch drew prominent figures from public life, including Rt Hon Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Naz Shah MP (UK Trade Envoy for Indonesia and the ASEAN region), and H.E. Dr Desra Percaya (Indonesian Ambassador to the UK), each offering strong support for the initiative.

An audience of senior partners, financiers, lawyers, policymakers, journalists, academics, entrepreneurs, technologists, medics and creatives filled the room; many of whom have broken glass ceilings in education and professional life.

Shaykh Hammad delivered the keynote and launched his latest book, “Past and Present: How Muslims Enrich Our Society”, tracing contributions from the Islamic Golden Age to contemporary achievements, from Nobel Peace Laureates to global health and AI innovators. The message underscored the enduring influence of Muslim excellence across centuries.

Shaykh Hammad concluded by outlining eight strategic priorities to help Muslim professionals reach the highest levels of their fields in the decades ahead. A new research publication by Shaykh Hammad was also shared with attendees.

A panel discussion followed, featuring Shaykh Hammad and Baroness Warsi, hosted by Muhbeen Hussain MBE, on “Where Muslims Stand Today”.

The event was organised by the HOW executive team: Muhbeen Hussain MBE, Barrister Vakas Hussain, Aadil Khan, Haroon Khan and Hassan Qadri, alongside Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari, Dr Zahid Iqbal, Moazzam Raza, Adnan Sohail and other partners.
