Asain pop isnt a genre. Its pop. All the others have distinct musical qualities that make them categories. It's literal racial segregation and you only like it because its gives you the illusion of a seat at the table. In reality they won't even let you in the room.

For me, having a Best Asian Pop category is not a segregation but a recognition, just like how they have the best(s) in Latin category and so on. It makes them special. There is a continuously growing number of Asian songs penetrating the global scene, but a lot are still outside mainstream. They all equally deserved to be heard, admired, and be recognized in their own identity.
