Imagine this is how Dak Prescott’s story ends.
Super Bowl. Cowboys vs. Bills.
Dallas down 4. :06 left.
Dak takes the snap from the 12.
Nothing is open.
He steps up and runs.
At the 4-yard line, he gets HIT.
Two Bills defenders wrap him up. Another comes crashing down on top.
Dak keeps his legs moving, but he’s stopped.
Four yards away.
And for a second, it looks like this is really how it ends.
Then CeeDee Lamb hits the pile from behind.
Jake Ferguson joins him.
Tyler Smith.
Terence Steele.
The entire Cowboys offense comes crashing forward.
The pile moves a yard.
Then another.
And suddenly it feels like Dak isn’t being pushed by just the eleven men on the field anymore.
It’s Ezekiel Elliott pushing.
Zack Martin.
Tyron Smith.
DeMarcus Lawrence.
Amari Cooper.
Michael Gallup.
Leighton Vander Esch.
Trevon Diggs.
Every teammate who stood beside him through those playoff losses. Every Cowboy who walked off the field with him when another season ended too soon.
They’re all pushing.
3-yard line.
Dak is still fighting.
And now it feels like Tony Romo is pushing too.
Dez Bryant.
Jason Witten.
The generation before him that came so close but never got its ending.
One yard.
The entire history of the last 30 years of Cowboys heartbreak is behind No. 4.
Pushing.
Dak reaches the football out.
The clock hits 00:00.
The official looks into the pile…
then raises both arms.
TOUCHDOWN.
For his entire career, Dak Prescott carried the weight of the Dallas Cowboys on his back.
On the final play of his story, when he couldn’t carry them any farther…
they carried him.
Across the goal line.
Into history.
Dak Prescott is a Super Bowl champion.
THE TRITONS ARE BACK!
Already loved their roster before this. Beath, Burke, Chaikin, Beattie, and Vance all return plus nice D1 guard adds in Kayde Dotson & Rahmir Barno. Suutela is a great front-court grab from Oregon State too.
Add Eaglestaff to this roster? Oh boy
West Virginia transfer Treysen Eaglestaff has committed to UC San Diego, his agency @GSLSportsGroup tells @TheFieldof68
Significant get for Clint Allard & the Tritons.
Eaglestaff is currently eligible following the preliminary injunction in Texas.
A look at some notable fifth-year commitments that were ONLY protected by the Colorado federal case 👀
These players haven't (yet) been listed in any separate state lawsuits that had a TRO/injunction granted, meaning they're (currently) NOT eligible for a fifth season ⤵️
I’ll explain further in my MW preview.
However, Hall is the MW Preseason POTY but that doesn’t mean New Mexico is suddenly the runaway favorite. GCU has 10 players that could start, UNM has wonderful depth as well but some of those players we’ve never seen in CBB before.
@MiniHoopsAlert Are you insane ?? Hall alone puts UNM as the favorites to win the league. UNM swept GCU last year and had a better record. I’m confused on how you put GCU above New Mexico. Please explain. Makes ZERO sense
@BlakeKrek When doing research on Nevada’s team this year, I’m personally worried about potential outside shooting slumps. They really need Coulter, Weems, & Bandelj to space the floor, but I think those are all some of their best on-ball scorers as well
Former Stanford guard Benny Gealer has committed to UIC, source tells SI.
Gealer averaged 10.9 points per game and shot 41% from three this season at Stanford. Eligible under the California TRO granted earlier this week.
UIC HC Rob Ehsan coached Gealer in Palo Alto. Big get.
NEWS: Elijah Mahi will RETURN to Santa Clara for his fifth year of eligibility, source told @TheFieldOf68
Mahi averaged 14.1 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 2.6 APG last season for the Broncos.
Yes, I know
Tenette is going to breakout as well. Hudson Mayes, Rytis Petraitis, TVF, Suljanovic, Schuch, and Chris Howell makes for one of the most versatile and athletic wing rotations in the nation.
But GCU has a great roster too. Comparing two NCAAT level teams.
@MiniHoopsAlert But it’s not just about hall. New Mexico, reloaded with better and more athletic players, including a lot of good returning players which New Mexico Mexico, curbs stomped GCU last year.
Samford definitely will be moving up the SoCon rankings.
Noard, Brandon Fussell, Cade Norris, Campbell-Finch, Najimi George, and Ty Davis in the backcourt.
Lots of talent there. Just saw Jadin Booth breakout in this system.
BREAKING: Cornell transfer guard Cooper Noard has signed with Samford, source tells us‼️
The 6-2 senior led the Ivy in scoring with 18.2 PPG and in 3PM with 80. He was 2nd team All-Ivy.
He was recently granted a TRO for a 5th year of eligibility by a California court.
Here's a look at Wichita State's roster with the planned addition of Kenyon Giles.
Hard to think the Shockers won't be the favorites in the American if it comes to fruition.
Lots of different lineup guards combinations you can go with now too. This is just a total guess.
I'm trying not to overreact, but...
Wichita State is in clear contention to be the best team in mid-major basketball. The list of teams who can be isn't long, but Shockers are on it with Giles back
Kenyon Giles is back — and Wichita State’s 2026-27 ceiling just changed.
My story on how Giles is eligible, what it means for the Shockers' roster this upcoming season and why his fifth season is a game-changer for WSU. (FREE READ)
https://t.co/0CDTCCEC0x
Wichita State’s Kenyon Giles, who averaged 19.1 points for Paul Mills last season, will return to the Shockers this year, @weave told @thefieldof68.
Giles is part of the South Carolina lawsuit and will look to get a 5th season in the Class of 2022. Eligible as of today.
The 5-10 guard started his career at Radford, spent his junior season at UNCG and led a Wichita State team that won 24 games last season in scoring.
