More pilot Mini Meadows planted up today!

Mix of Ragged Robin, Knapweed, Primrose, Cowslips and Devil's Bit Scabious.

Two different styles (groups of flowers vs lines of flowers) to see what works best!

This will be primroses, Hemp agrimony, Devils bit scabious and of course a nitrogen fixer of Birdsfoot Trefoil!

Big surprise today finding yellow rattle sown last year germinating this year!

Another pilot meadow has been planted with primroses, Devils Bit Scabious and Hemp Agrimony.

Really looking forward to taking this project to the wider community!

Some foxgloves grown from seed from Wicklow national park.

Will be adding more locally sourced seed and wildflowers to the mini meadows in time.

There's so many great native flowers that can be grown by exploring Ireland!

Hard to believe the mini meadows project first started with a small window box with some red clover and wildflower mix in an apartment in Dublin two years ago.

Two species of bumblebee and a hoverfly all finding food and shelter.

As the Primroses start setting seed, the Ragged Robin have answered the blooming call!

Red (actually pink) clover is beginning to bloom too.

Hopefully the knapweed will flower and bring us to the end of the season.

This mini meadow pilot is nearly two years of effort so far!

Weekly watering session for the wildflowers.

All stages of growth on show from freshly germinated seedlings to flowers that have really taken off with the summer weather recently.

This is round 1. Watering trays are filled up again with seed & propagation trays.
