@Yoanna83668980 Edo period is 1603-1868. Major characteristic is capital moved to Tokyo, cities grew, merchant class became prominant. Ukiyo-e is from Edo period. Yayoi period is 300BC-200AD. Concept of country was vague, metallurgy was developed, shift from hunter-gatherers to farming happened

@Yoanna83668980 Haven't read this yet, which is also why I could be wrong, but based on the illustration (clothing, hairstyles etc) it isn't Edo period but rather further back, probably Yayoi or Kofun period. Could also be Asuka period but not any later. 🤗
