Reports of Vegas' death are greatly exaggerated.

While the middle class cuts back on extras, wealthy tourists keep showing up. The share of visitors from families making over $150k recently doubled.

The pattern echoes what's happening across the US:

Former Gov. Jim Gibbons (R) makes a rare political statement today to support @DavidFlippoNV, blaming Amodei for "handing a Democrat her best chance in the history of this seat because he did not get his way."

"I ain't looking in that mirror having voted for the Republican," @AmodeiForNevada said on CNN this evening about his #NV02 vote.

At #IndyFest today, @RahmEmanuel told me it was Amodei's criticisms of Flippo that first drew his attention to #NV02 as a pick-up opportunity.

Could see Khanna getting almost emotional as he talked about the lack of substantive policy discussion around 2028:

[Kate Reynolds @katecreynolds]

@MiniRacker @RalstonReports Khanna tells @MiniRacker that IF he runs for president, "I'm not going to be the most charismatic guy. I'm not going to be the person doing the most fun TikToks."

But, he says, "I actually really have an economic vision for what this country needs to do."

New—on the DGA’s investment decision in Texas:

[Kate Reynolds @katecreynolds]

Beshear defends how @DemGovs (which he chairs) is spending money after @MiniRacker asks about $$$ for Gina Hinojosa's bid for TX Gov.

"We have the best looking map that we have had in our recent history, and what it means is we have a size 10 budget and a size 16 map," he says.

New: @DavidFlippoNV's campaign finance report for the first two week's of October, filed a few minutes ago, shows him raising $72k in that period.

His donors include Jonathan Kraft, president of the New England Patriots.

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

NEW: No Going Back PAC, which is funded by President Trump's MAGA Inc., is jumping into #NV02.

$550k reserved on broadcast in Reno so far, per AdImpact.

👀 National Democrats have put out red-boxed instructions suggesting that ads targeting GOP women in #NV02 should highlight the third-party candidate’s “conservative values.”

Repubs have a large ballot lead in CD2 right now and it keeps increasing because of rural NV. TBT still an underdog to Flippo, and as @ErikJimenezNV points out, even if she wins indies by a substantial margin, she needs A LOT more Amodei-type voters to become Chapman-lovers.

.@Teresa4Nevada has a new ad today that highlights her background serving Northern Nevada, including as a waitress in college. She also slams Flippo over recent controversies:

who is excited for the mother of all FEC days tomorrow

literally all your favorite homies are filing reports

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

The race in #NV02 will test how much pull Trump still has in the Northern Nevada district.

Here’s the president commenting specifically on Flippo and Benitez-Thompson in a recent tele-rally:

[Lt. Col. David Flippo, USAF Ret. @DavidFlippoNV]

BREAKING NEWS

President Trump calls Teresa Benitez-Thompson CRAZY in tele-rally.

Releasing murderers from prison, raising your taxes 11 times, and endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America, she really is crazy!

.@AmodeiForNevada voted today:

[Meredith Lee Hill @meredithllee]

Retiring GOP Rep. Mark Amodei tells @politico he voted for third party candidate Lynn Chapman in #NV02 this morning.

Amodei told us Saturday he would "absolutely not" vote for Trump-endorsed David Flippo. More here >

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

Responding to @zachblackburn23, @Teresa4Nevada also noted there is basically no enforcement for campaign finance laws:

"They'd rather pay the $200 fine for not filing than have filed on time, and to me, that is not an actual deterrence."

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

On Flippo's missing financial disclosure, @Teresa4Nevada said, "It is just all too calculated that he would provide to the press a hand-written copy that is not signed. ... Talk about running out the clock."

UPDATE: @TheNVIndy has received the full DD-214 form.

Form shows discharge is marked honorable, separation code is RBD (retirement) and reentry code is not applicable.

We received the form to review w/stipulation that we not publish because of identifying details.

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

I asked @Teresa4Nevada if she asked @AmodeiForNevada for an endorsement.

TBT: "The thing I like most about Congressman Amodei is he speaks his mind...You don't have to ask him anything—he's going to call it as he sees it and he's calling it as he sees it right now in this race."

New today —The super PAC dedicated to electing House Democrats polled #NV02 last week.

That poll showed @DavidFlippoNV leading @Teresa4Nevada by two points, 46%-44%.

[Mini Racker @MiniRacker]

Wedgewood Polls — a mysterious firm that popped up this summer and got plenty of online buzz — admits its polls were fake.

It produced the first public "poll" of #NV02 in July, which showed @Teresa4Nevada with a slight lead over @DavidFlippoNV. That survey was made up.

[G Elliott Morris @gelliottmorris]

We were investigating Wedgewood for faking their data and emailed them for comment this morning, ahead of publishing the findings tomorrow. They are trying to cover up their fraud with the "we were doing a social experiment" excuse.

Update: Rep. @AOC distanced herself from #NVGov nonpartisan candidate Danielle Ford and urged support for AG Aaron Ford.

“This mailer is a disgusting attempt to trick Nevada voters,” AOC spokesperson Mike Casca told @TheNVIndy.
