Humanity is not tested by how we treat the powerful. It is tested by how we treat the voiceless.
I urge the Hon'ble Supreme Court to urgently reconsider its position on community dogs and I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to uphold India's values of compassion and coexistence.

No, the Supreme Court did not just sign a death warrant for stray animals.
No, the law of the land does not permit wholesale killing of stray dogs.

It is indeed a noble and kind thought ma’am but we must extend this compassion beyond the summer to every season and all year round. Your actions will bring support to the strays & feeders who face cruelty. Hope your colleagues also learn and change their behaviour. Thank you🙏
Enough of the fake propaganda against India’s street dogs.
While many media houses, ministers and RWAs are spreading fear, hatred and misinformation against community dogs, @CNBCTV18News has also finally reported the ACTUAL legal position and facts.
The Supreme Court has NOT signed any “death warrant” for stray dogs.
Mass killing of community dogs is STILL ILLEGAL.
As per the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023:
• Only incurably ill or mortally wounded dogs can be euthanised
• Euthanasia must be humane and strictly supervised by authorised veterinary officials and designated teams
• Municipal bodies cannot clear areas by killing dogs
• Illegal relocation, poisoning, torture, disappearance, or killing of street dogs remains punishable by law
If dogs are being harmed:
• Record videos/photos and gather evidence
• File FIRs and complaints
• Seek RTI details for any euthanasia approvals
• Involve animal welfare organisations immediately
Street dogs are protected under Indian law and deserve compassion, not mob hatred fueled by misinformation.
Please watch this CNBC TV18 video and share it everywhere before more innocent animals suffer because of fake news.

🇮🇳 A HEARTFELT APPEAL TO EVERY INDIAN 🇮🇳
Our Indian street dogs have guarded our lanes, loved us silently, and survived cruelty most humans could never endure. Today, many of these innocent souls are living in fear — abandoned, abused, relocated, or treated as if their lives do not matter. 💔
At a time when uncertainty around their safety is growing, the kindest thing we can do is simple:
🐾 ADOPT. DON’T SHOP. 🐾
Please open your heart and home to at least ONE Indian street dog from your own area. These dogs are:
❤️ Loyal beyond words
☀️ Naturally suited to Indian climate
🛡️ Excellent guardians
🧠 Intelligent & emotionally intuitive
🐕 Grateful for every ounce of love
Meanwhile, puppy mills continue to treat animals like products — breeding mothers endlessly while thousands of Indies sleep hungry on roads every night.
Every puppy bought for “status” often means another homeless Indian dog is ignored.
But every adoption means: ✨ One life saved
✨ One less dog suffering on streets
✨ One family transformed by unconditional love
If you cannot adopt: 🥣 Feed them
💉 Sterilize & vaccinate
🚰 Keep water bowls outside
🗣️ Speak against cruelty
📸 Promote Indie adoption online
India doesn’t need more puppy mills.
India needs more compassion. 🇮🇳🐾

@the_hindu The only concern such reporting raises is that of humanity. Since when did a stray hungry animal eating scraps discarded by humans become a viral story? Such is the degradation of media today. Is he a terrorist?
Everyone on my timeline it’s time to UNINSTALL the @ndtv app. This media house has sold itself to hate. Treating dogs like criminals and terrorists! No sir we will not follow or watch you anymore. Enough !
I respectfully disagree. Most police stations infact are places where community dogs can be found treated well with water and shade. If animal cruelty happens in a society and the police is flooded with complaints they will act. Are enough people motivated enough to come together and file is the question. If you see someone doing so, file multiple complaints. It is your right as a citizen.
